Joshua 10:1-12 And as Adoni-zedec the king of Jerusalem heard that Joshua took Ai, and utterly destroyed it, in which manner he did to Jericho and her king, and thus they did also to Ai and her king, and that the ones dwelling in Gibeon deserted to Joshua and to Israel, and were in the midst of them;

3 G2532 And G649 [⁴sent G* ¹Adoni-zedec G935 ²king G* ³of Jerusalem] G4314 to G* Holam G935 king G* of Hebron, G2532 and G4314 to G* Piram G935 king G* of Jarmuth, G2532 and G4314 to G* Japhia G935 king G* of Lachish, G2532 and G4314 to G* Debir G935 king G* of Eglon, G3004 saying,

4 G1205 Come, G305 ascend G4314 to G1473 me, G2532 and G997 help G1473 me! G2532 and G1606.2 we shall wage war against G3588 G* Gibeon. G844.1 For it deserted G1063 G4314 to G* Joshua, G2532 and G4314 to G3588 the G5207 sons G* of Israel!

5 G2532 And G4863 they gathered G2532 and G305 ascended -- G3588 the G4002 five G935 kings G3588 of the G* Amorites -- G935 the king G* of Jerusalem, G2532 and G935 the king G* of Hebron, G2532 and G935 the king G* of Jerimuth, G2532 and G935 the king G* of Lachish, G2532 and G935 the king G* of Eglon, G1473 they G2532 and G3956 all G3588 G2992 their people; G1473 G2532 and G4027.2 they besieged G3588 G* Gibeon G2532 and G1606.3 attempted to capture G1473 it.

G3754 for G4863 [⁶are gathering G1510.2.6 G1909 ⁷against G1473 ⁸us G3956 ¹all G3588 ²the G935 ³kings G3588 ⁴of the G* ⁵Amorites], G3588 the G2730 ones dwelling G3588 in the G3714 mountainous area.

7 G2532 And G305 Joshua ascended G* G1537 from G* Gilgal, G1473 he G2532 and G3956 every G3588 G4170.3 warrior G3326 with G1473 him, G3956 all G1415 mighty G1722 in G2479 strength.

8 G2532 And G2036 the lord said G2962 G4314 to G* Joshua, G3361 Do not G5399 fear G1473 them! G1519 for into G1063 G3588 G5495 your hands G1473 G3860 I have delivered G1473 them; G3756 there shall not stand G5307.2 G3762 even one G1537 of G1473 them G1799 before G1473 you.

10 G2532 that G1839 [²startled G1473 ³them G2962 ¹ the lord] G575 from G4383 in front G* of Israel, G2532 and G4937 [²defeated G1473 ³them G2962 ¹ the lord G4938.2 ⁵defeat G3173 ⁴with a great] G1722 in G* Gibeon. G2532 And G2614 they pursued G1473 them G3598 by the way G306.1 ascending G* to Beth-horon, G2532 and G2629 they slew them G1473 G2193 unto G* Azekah G2532 and G2193 unto G* Makkedah.

11 G1722 But in G1161 G3588 G5343 their fleeing G1473 G575 from G4383 in front G3588 of the G5207 sons G* of Israel G1909 at G3588 the G2600 descent G* of Beth-horon, G2532 that G2962 the lord G1977 cast upon G1473 them G3037 stones G5464 of hail G1537 from out of G3588 the G3772 heaven G2193 unto G* Azekah. G2532 And G1096 there were G4183 more G3588 G599 dying G1223 by G3588 the G3037 stones G3588 G5464 of hail G2228 than G3739 which G615 were killed G3588 G5207 by the sons G* of Israel G3162 by sword G1722 in G3588 the G4171 battle.

12 G5119 Then G2980 Joshua spoke G* G4314 to G2962 the lord G3739 in the G2250 day G3860 God delivered up G3588 G2316 G3588 the G* Amorites G5297.2 under the hand G5207 of the sons G* of Israel. G2532 And G2036 Joshua said, G3588 G* G3588 [²the G2246 ³sun G2596 ⁵over G* ⁶Gibeon G2476 ¹Let ⁴stand], G2532 and G3588 the G4582 moon G2596 over G5327 the ravine G* of Ajalon.
