Joshua 9:15-27

  15 G2532 And G4160 [²made G4314 ⁴with G1473 ⁵them G* ¹Joshua G1515 ³peace], G2532 and G1303 ordained G4314 with G1473 them G1242 a covenant, G2532 and G3660 [⁵swore by an oath G1473 ⁶to them G3588 ¹the G758 ²rulers G3588 ³of the G4864 ⁴congregation].

  16 G2532 And G1096 it came to pass G3326 after G5140 three G2250 days, G3326 after G3588 the G1303 ordaining G4314 with G1473 them G1242 a covenant, G191 they heard G3754 that G1449.3 [²near G1510.2.6 ¹they are] G1473 them, G2532 and G3754 that G1722 [²among G1473 ³them G2730 ¹they dwelt].

  18 G2532 And G3756 [⁴did not G4170 ⁵wage war G1473 ⁶with them G3588 ¹the G5207 ²sons G* ³of Israel], G3754 for G3660 [⁶swore by an oath G1473 ⁷to them G3956 ¹all G3588 ²the G758 ³rulers G3588 ⁴of the G4864 ⁵congregation] G2962 by the lord G3588   G2316 God G* of Israel. G2532 And G1234 [⁴complained G3956 ¹all G3588 ²the G4864 ³congregation] G1909 about G3588 the G758 rulers.

  19 G2532 And G2036 [⁴said G3756 ¹all G3588 ²the G758 ³rulers] G3956 to all G3588 the G4864 congregation, G1473 We G3660 swore by an oath G1473 to them G2962 by the lord G3588   G2316 God G* of Israel. G2532 And G3568 now, G3756 we shall not G1410 be able G680 to touch G1473 them.

  20 G3778 This G4160 we will do G1473 to them -- G2221 to take them alive, G1473   G2532 and G4046 we will preserve G1473 them, G2532 and G3756 there will not G1510.8.3 be G2596 [²against G1473 ³us G3709 ¹anger] G1223 on account of G3588 the G3727 oath G3739 which G3660 we swore by an oath G1473 to them.

  21 G2532 And G2036 [³said G1473 ⁴to them G3588 ¹the G758 ²rulers], G2198 They shall live, G2532 and G1510.8.6 they shall be G3585.1 woodcutters G2532 and G5202.1 water-carriers G3956 to all G3588 the G4864 congregation, G2509 just as G2036 [³said G1473 ⁴to them G3588 ¹the G758 ²rulers].

  22 G2532 And G4779 [²called them together G1473   G* ¹Joshua], G2532 and G2036 he spoke G1473 to them, G3004 saying, G1302 Why did G3884 you mislead G1473 me, G3004 saying, G3112 [³far G1510.2.4 ¹We are G575 ⁴from G1473 ⁵you G4970 ²exceedingly]; G1473 but you G1161   G1472.2 are natives G1510.2.5   G3588 of the G2730 ones dwelling G1722 among G1473 us?

  23 G2532 And G3568 now G1944 you are accursed, G1510.2.5   G3766.2 in no way G1587 shall there fail G1537 from G1473 one of you G1401 being a servant, G3761 nor G3585.1 woodcutter, G3761 nor G5202.1 a water-carrier G1473 to me, G2532 and G3588 to G2316 my God. G1473  

  24 G2532 And G611 they answered G3588   G* Joshua, G3004 saying G3754 that, G31 A message G312 was announced G1473 to us G3745 as much as G4929 [³ordered G2962 ¹ the lord G3588   G2316 ²your God] G1473   G* Moses G3588   G3816 his servant G1473   G1325 to give G1473 to you G3778 this G3588   G1093 land, G2532 and G1842 to utterly destroy G1473 us, G2532 and G3956 all G3588 the ones G2730 dwelling G1909 upon G1473 it, G575 from G4383 in front G1473 of you.   25 G2532 And G3568 now, G2400 behold, G1473 we are G5297.2 under your hands G1473   G5613 as G700 it pleases G1473 you. G2532 And G5613 as G1380 it seems good G4160 to do G1473 to us, G4160 you do it!

  26 G2532 And G4160 they did G1473 to them G3779 thus, G2532 and G1807 [²rescued G1473 ³them G* ¹Joshua] G1722 in G3588   G2250 that day G1565   G1537 from G5495 the hands G5207 of the sons G* of Israel, G2532 and G3756 they did not G337 do away with G1473 them.
