Luke 24:16-31

  16 G1161 But G846 their G3788 eyes G2902 were holden [G5712]   G1921 that they should G3361 not G1921 know [G5629]   G846 him.

  17 G1161 And G2036 he said [G5627]   G4314 unto G846 them G5101 , What G3056 manner of communications G3778 are these G3739 that G474 ye have [G5719]   G4314 one to G240 another G4043 , as ye walk [G5723]   G2532 , and G2075 are [G5748]   G4659 sad?

  18 G1161 And G1520 the one of them G3739 , whose G3686 name G2810 was Cleopas G611 , answering [G5679]   G2036 said [G5627]   G4314 unto G846 him G4771 , Art thou G3441 only G3939 a stranger [G5719]   G1722 in G2419 Jerusalem G2532 , and G1097 hast G3756 not G1097 known [G5627]   G1096 the things which are come to pass [G5637]   G1722 there G846   G1722 in G5025 these G2250 days?

  19 G2532 And G2036 he said [G5627]   G846 unto them G4169 , What things G1161 ? And G2036 they said [G5627]   G846 unto him G4012 , Concerning G2424 Jesus G3480 of Nazareth G3739 , which G1096 was [G5633]   G4396 a prophet G1415 mighty G1722 in G435   G2041 deed G2532 and G3056 word G1726 before G2316 God G2532 and G3956 all G2992 the people:

  20 G3704 And how G5037   G749 the chief priests G2532 and G2257 our G758 rulers G3860 delivered [G5656]   G846 him G1519 to G2917 be condemned G2288 to death G2532 , and G4717 have crucified [G5656]   G846 him.

  21 G1161 But G2249 we G1679 trusted [G5707]   G3754 that G2076 it had been [G5748]   G846 he G3195 which should [G5723]   G3084 have redeemed [G5733]   G2474 Israel G235 : and G1065 beside G4862   G3956 all G5125 this G4594 , to day G71 is [G5719]   G5026 the G5154 third G2250 day G575 since G3739   G5023 these things G1096 were done [G5633]  .

  22 G235 Yea G5100 , and certain G1135 women G2532 also G1537 of G2257 our company G1839 made G2248 us G1839 astonished [G5627]   G1096 , which were [G5637]   G3721 early G1909 at G3419 the sepulchre;

  23 G2532 And G2147 when they found [G5631]   G3361 not G846 his G4983 body G2064 , they came [G5627]   G3004 , saying [G5723]   G3708 , that they had G2532 also G3708 seen [G5760]   G3701 a vision G32 of angels G3739 , which G3004 said [G5719]   G846 that he G2198 was alive [G5721]  .

  24 G2532 And G5100 certain of them G4862 which were with G2254 us G565 went [G5627]   G1909 to G3419 the sepulchre G2532 , and G2147 found [G5627]   G2532 it even G3779 so G2531 as G1135 the women G2036 had said [G5627]   G1161 : but G846 him G1492 they saw [G5627]   G3756 not.

  25 G2532 Then G846 he G2036 said [G5627]   G4314 unto G846 them G5599 , O G453 fools G2532 , and G1021 slow G2588 of heart G4100 to believe [G5721]   G1909   G3956 all G3739 that G4396 the prophets G2980 have spoken [G5656]  :

  26 G1163 Ought [G5713]   G3780 not G5547 Christ G3958 to have suffered [G5629]   G5023 these things G2532 , and G1525 to enter [G5629]   G1519 into G846 his G1391 glory?

  27 G2532 And G756 beginning [G5671]   G575 at G3475 Moses G2532 and G575   G3956 all G4396 the prophets G1329 , he expounded [G5707]   G846 unto them G1722 in G3956 all G1124 the scriptures G4012 the things concerning G1438 himself.

  28 G2532 And G1448 they drew nigh [G5656]   G1519 unto G2968 the village G3757 , whither G4198 they went [G5711]   G2532 : and G846 he G4364 made as though [G5710]   G4198 he would have gone [G5738]   G4208 further.

  29 G2532 But G3849 they constrained [G5662]   G846 him G3004 , saying [G5723]   G3306 , Abide [G5657]   G3326 with G2257 us G3754 : for G2076 it is [G5748]   G4314 toward G2073 evening G2532 , and G2250 the day G2827 is far spent [G5758]   G2532 . And G1525 he went in [G5627]   G3306 to tarry [G5658]   G4862 with G846 them.

  30 G2532 And G1096 it came to pass [G5633]   G1722 , as G846 he G2625 sat at meat [G5683]   G3326 with G846 them G2983 , he took [G5631]   G740 bread G2127 , and blessed [G5656]   G2532 it, and G2806 brake [G5660]   G1929 , and gave [G5707]   G846 to them.

  31 G1161 And G846 their G3788 eyes G1272 were opened [G5681]   G2532 , and G1921 they knew [G5627]   G846 him G2532 ; and G846 he G1096 vanished [G5633]   G855   G575 out of G846 their sight.
