Deuteronomy 12:29-31 When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land;

30 H8104 Take heed [H8734] H5367 to thyself that thou be not snared [H8735] H310 by following H310 them, after H8045 that they be destroyed [H8736] H6440 from before H1875 thee; and that thou enquire [H8799] H430 not after their gods H559 , saying [H8800] H1471 , How did these nations H5647 serve [H8799] H430 their gods H6213 ? even so will I do [H8799] H1571 likewise.

31 H6213 Thou shalt not do [H8799] H3068 so unto the LORD H430 thy God H8441 : for every abomination H3068 to the LORD H8130 , which he hateth [H8804] H6213 , have they done [H8804] H430 unto their gods H1121 ; for even their sons H1323 and their daughters H8313 they have burnt [H8799] H784 in the fire H430 to their gods.
