3 H6765 But Zelophehad H1121 , the son H2660 of Hepher H1121 , the son H1568 of Gilead H1121 , the son H4353 of Machir H1121 , the son H4519 of Manasseh H1121 , had no sons H1323 , but daughters H8034 : and these are the names H1323 of his daughters H4244 , Mahlah H5270 , and Noah H2295 , Hoglah H4435 , Milcah H8656 , and Tirzah.

4 H7126 And they came near [H8799] H6440 before H499 Eleazar H3548 the priest H6440 , and before H3091 Joshua H1121 the son H5126 of Nun H6440 , and before H5387 the princes H559 , saying [H8800] H3068 , The LORD H6680 commanded [H8765] H4872 Moses H5414 to give [H8800] H5159 us an inheritance H8432 among H251 our brethren H6310 . Therefore according to the commandment H3068 of the LORD H5414 he gave [H8799] H5159 them an inheritance H8432 among H251 the brethren H1 of their father.

5 H5307 And there fell [H8799] H6235 ten H2256 portions H4519 to Manasseh H776 , beside the land H1568 of Gilead H1316 and Bashan H5676 , which were on the other side H3383 Jordan;

6 H1323 Because the daughters H4519 of Manasseh H5157 had [H8804] H5159 an inheritance H8432 among H1121 his sons H3498 : and the rest [H8737] H4519 of Manasseh's H1121 sons H776 had the land H1568 of Gilead.

7 H1366 And the coast H4519 of Manasseh H836 was from Asher H4366 to Michmethah H6440 , that lieth before H7927 Shechem H1366 ; and the border H1980 went along [H8804] H3225 on the right hand H3427 unto the inhabitants [H8802] H5887 of Entappuah.

8 H4519 Now Manasseh H776 had the land H8599 of Tappuah H8599 : but Tappuah H1366 on the border H4519 of Manasseh H1121 belonged to the children H669 of Ephraim;

9 H1366 And the coast H3381 descended [H8804] H5158 unto the river H7071 Kanah H5045 , southward H5158 of the river H5892 : these cities H669 of Ephraim H8432 are among H5892 the cities H4519 of Manasseh H1366 : the coast H4519 of Manasseh H6828 also was on the north side H5158 of the river H8444 , and the outgoings H3220 of it were at the sea:

10 H5045 Southward H669 it was Ephraim's H6828 , and northward H4519 it was Manasseh's H3220 , and the sea H1366 is his border H6293 ; and they met together [H8799] H836 in Asher H6828 on the north H3485 , and in Issachar H4217 on the east.

11 H4519 And Manasseh H3485 had in Issachar H836 and in Asher H1052 Bethshean H1323 and her towns H2991 , and Ibleam H1323 and her towns H3427 , and the inhabitants [H8802] H1756 of Dor H1323 and her towns H3427 , and the inhabitants [H8802] H5874 of Endor H1323 and her towns H3427 , and the inhabitants [H8802] H8590 of Taanach H1323 and her towns H3427 , and the inhabitants [H8802] H4023 of Megiddo H1323 and her towns H7969 , even three H5316 countries.

12 H1121 Yet the children H4519 of Manasseh H3201 could [H8804] H3423 not drive out [H8687] H5892 the inhabitants of those cities H3669 ; but the Canaanites H2974 would [H8686] H3427 dwell [H8800] H776 in that land.

13 H1121 Yet it came to pass, when the children H3478 of Israel H2388 were waxen strong [H8804] H5414 , that they put [H8799] H3669 the Canaanites H4522 to tribute H3423 ; but did not utterly [H8687] H3423 drive them out [H8689] .

14 H1121 And the children H3130 of Joseph H1696 spake [H8762] H3091 unto Joshua H559 , saying [H8800] H5414 , Why hast thou given [H8804] H259 me but one H1486 lot H259 and one H2256 portion H5159 to inherit H7227 , seeing I am a great H5971 people H5704 , forasmuch as H3068 the LORD H1288 hath blessed [H8765] H3541 me hitherto?

15 H3091 And Joshua H559 answered [H8799] H7227 them, If thou be a great H5971 people H5927 , then get thee up [H8798] H3293 to the wood H1254 country, and cut down [H8765] H776 for thyself there in the land H6522 of the Perizzites H7497 and of the giants H2022 , if mount H669 Ephraim H213 be too narrow [H8804] for thee.

16 H1121 And the children H3130 of Joseph H559 said [H8799] H2022 , The hill H4672 is not enough [H8735] H3669 for us: and all the Canaanites H3427 that dwell [H8802] H776 in the land H6010 of the valley H7393 have chariots H1270 of iron H1052 , both they who are of Bethshean H1323 and her towns H6010 , and they who are of the valley H3157 of Jezreel.

17 H3091 And Joshua H559 spake [H8799] H1004 unto the house H3130 of Joseph H669 , even to Ephraim H4519 and to Manasseh H559 , saying [H8800] H7227 , Thou art a great H5971 people H1419 , and hast great H3581 power H259 : thou shalt not have one H1486 lot only :

18 H2022 But the mountain H3293 shall be thine; for it is a wood H1254 , and thou shalt cut it down [H8765] H8444 : and the outgoings H3423 of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out [H8686] H3669 the Canaanites H1270 , though they have iron H7393 chariots H2389 , and though they be strong.

6 H3588 כי Because H1323 בנות the daughters H4519 מנשׁה of Manasseh H5157 נחלו had an inheritance H5159 נחלה had an inheritance H8432 בתוך among H1121 בניו his sons: H776 וארץ the land H1568 הגלעד of Gilead. H1961 היתה had H1121 לבני sons H4519 מנשׁה of Manasseh's H3498 הנותרים׃ and the rest

7 H1961 ויהי was H1366 גבול And the coast H4519 מנשׁה of Manasseh H836 מאשׁר H4366 המכמתת to Michmethah, H834 אשׁר that H5921 על before H6440 פני before H7927 שׁכם Shechem; H1980 והלך went along H1366 הגבול and the border H413 אל on H3225 הימין the right hand H413 אל unto H3427 ישׁבי the inhabitants H5887 עין תפוח׃ of En-tappuah.

8 H4519 למנשׁה Manasseh H1961 היתה had H776 ארץ the land H8599 תפוח of Tappuah: H8599 ותפוח but Tappuah H413 אל on H1366 גבול the border H4519 מנשׁה of Manasseh H1121 לבני to the children H669 אפרים׃ of Ephraim;

9 H3381 וירד descended H1366 הגבול And the coast H5158 נחל unto the river H7071 קנה Kanah, H5045 נגבה southward H5158 לנחל of the river: H5892 ערים cities H428 האלה these H669 לאפרים of Ephraim H8432 בתוך among H5892 ערי the cities H4519 מנשׁה of Manasseh: H1366 וגבול the coast H4519 מנשׁה of Manasseh H6828 מצפון also on the north side H5158 לנחל of the river, H1961 ויהי of it were H8444 תצאתיו and the outgoings H3220 הימה׃ at the sea:

10 H5045 נגבה Southward H669 לאפרים Ephraim's, H6828 וצפונה and northward H4519 למנשׁה Manasseh's, H1961 ויהי is H3220 הים and the sea H1366 גבולו his border; H836 ובאשׁר in Asher H6293 יפגעון and they met together H6828 מצפון on the north, H3485 ובישׂשכר and in Issachar H4217 ממזרח׃ on the east.

11 H1961 ויהי had H4519 למנשׁה And Manasseh H3485 בישׂשכר in Issachar H836 ובאשׁר and in Asher H1052 בית שׁאן Beth-shean H1323 ובנותיה and her towns, H2991 ויבלעם and Ibleam H1323 ובנותיה and her towns, H853 ואת H3427 ישׁבי and the inhabitants H1756 דאר of Dor H1323 ובנותיה and her towns, H3427 וישׁבי and the inhabitants H5874 עין דר of Endor H1323 ובנתיה and her towns, H3427 וישׁבי and the inhabitants H8590 תענך of Taanach H1323 ובנתיה and her towns, H3427 וישׁבי and the inhabitants H4023 מגדו of Megiddo H1323 ובנותיה and her towns, H7969 שׁלשׁת three H5316 הנפת׃ countries.

13 H1961 ויהי Yet it came to pass, H3588 כי when H2388 חזקו were waxen strong, H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H5414 ויתנו that they put H853 את H3669 הכנעני the Canaanites H4522 למס to tribute; H3423 והורשׁ utterly drive them out. H3808 לא but did not H3423 הורישׁו׃ utterly drive them out.

14 H1696 וידברו spoke H1121 בני And the children H3130 יוסף of Joseph H854 את unto H3091 יהושׁע Joshua, H559 לאמר saying, H4069 מדוע Why H5414 נתתה hast thou given H5159 לי נחלה to inherit, H1486 גורל lot H259 אחד me one H2256 וחבל portion H259 אחד and one H589 ואני seeing I H5971 עם people, H7227 רב a great H5704 עד forasmuch H834 אשׁר me hitherto? H5704 עד H3541 כה H1288 ברכני hath blessed H3068 יהוה׃ as the LORD
