Jeremiah 51:1-11 Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in Leb

1 H559 Thus saith H3068 Jehovah: H5782 Behold, I will raise up H894 against Babylon, H3427 and against them that dwell H3820 in Leb - H6965 kamai, H7843 a destroying H7307 wind.

2 H7971 And I will send H894 unto Babylon H2114 strangers, H2219 that shall winnow H1238 her; and they shall empty H776 her land: H3117 for in the day H7451 of trouble H5439 they shall be against her round about.

3 H1869 Against him that bendeth H1869 let the archer H1869 bend H7198 his bow, H5927 and against him that lifteth himself up H5630 in his coat H2550 of mail: and spare H970 ye not her young men; H2763 destroy ye utterly H6635 all her host.

4 H5307 And they shall fall H2491 down slain H776 in the land H3778 of the Chaldeans, H1856 and thrust through H2351 in her streets.

5 H3478 For Israel H488 is not forsaken, H3063 nor Judah, H430 of his God, H3068 of Jehovah H6635 of hosts; H776 though their land H4390 is full H817 of guilt H6918 against the Holy One H3478 of Israel.

6 H5127 Flee out H8432 of the midst H894 of Babylon, H4422 and save H376 every man H5315 his life; H1826 be not cut off H5771 in her iniquity: H6256 for it is the time H3068 of Jehovah's H5360 vengeance; H7999 he will render H1576 unto her a recompense.

7 H894 Babylon H2091 hath been a golden H3563 cup H3068 in Jehovah's H3027 hand, H776 that made all the earth H7937 drunken: H1471 the nations H8354 have drunk H3196 of her wine; H1471 therefore the nations H1984 are mad.

8 H894 Babylon H6597 is suddenly H5307 fallen H7665 and destroyed: H3213 wail H3947 for her; take H6875 balm H4341 for her pain, H7495 if so be she may be healed.

9 H7495 We would have healed H894 Babylon, H7495 but she is not healed: H5800 forsake H3212 her, and let us go H376 every one H776 into his own country; H4941 for her judgment H5060 reacheth H8064 unto heaven, H5375 and is lifted up H7834 even to the skies.

10 H3068 Jehovah H3318 hath brought forth H6666 our righteousness: H935 come, H5608 and let us declare H6726 in Zion H4639 the work H3068 of Jehovah H430 our God.

11 H1305 Make sharp H2671 the arrows; H4390 hold firm H7982 the shields: H3068 Jehovah H5782 hath stirred up H7307 the spirit H4428 of the kings H4074 of the Medes; H4209 because his purpose H894 is against Babylon, H7843 to destroy H5360 it: for it is the vengeance H3068 of Jehovah, H5360 the vengeance H1964 of his temple.
