2 Chronicles 10:1-19

  1 G2532 And G2064 Rehoboam came G*   G1519 unto G* Shechem, G3754 for G1519 unto G* Shechem G2064 came G3956 all G* Israel G936 to give reign G1473 to him.

  2 G2532 And G1096 it came to pass G5613 when G191 [⁴heard G* ¹Jeroboam G5207 ²son G* ³of Nebat], G2532 ( for G1473 he was G1722 in G* Egypt, G5613 as G5343 he fled G575 from G4383 the face G* of Solomon G3588 the G935 king, G2532 and G2730 Jeroboam dwelt G*   G1722 in G* Egypt,) G2532 that G654 Jeroboam returned G*   G1537 from out of G* Egypt.

  3 G2532 And G649 they sent G2532 and G2564 called G1473 him. G2532 And G2064 Jeroboam came, G*   G2532 and G3956 all G3588 the G1577 assembly G* of Israel, G2532 and G2980 they spoke G4314 to G* Rehoboam, G3004 saying,

  4 G3588   G3962 Your father G1473   G4645 hardened G3588   G2218 our yoke; G1473   G2532 and G3568 now, G2893 you lighten G1473   G575 from G3588 the G1397 [²servitude G3588   G3962 ³of your father G1473   G3588   G4642 ¹hard], G2532 and G575 from G3588   G2218 [³yoke G1473 ¹his G3588   G926 ²heavy] G3739 which G1325 he put G1909 upon G1473 us! G2532 and G1398 we will serve G1473 to you.

  5 G2532 And G2036 he said G1473 to them, G4198 Go G2193 until G5140 three G2250 days, G2532 and G2064 then come G4314 to G1473 me! G2532 And G565 [³went forth G3588 ¹the G2992 ²people].

  6 G2532 And G4863 [³brought together G3588   G935 ¹king G* ²Rehoboam] G3588 the G4245 elders G3588 of the ones G2476 standing G1726 before G* Solomon G3588   G3962 his father G1473   G1722 during G3588   G2198 his life, G1473   G3004 saying, G4459 How G1473 do you G1011 counsel G3588   G611 to answer G3588   G2992 [²to this people G3778   G3056 ¹a word]?

  7 G2532 And G2980 they spoke G1473 to him, G3004 saying, G1437 If G1722 in G3588   G4594 today G1096 you should be G1519 for G18 good G3588 to G2992 this people, G3778   G2532 and G700 you should please G1473 them, G2532 and G2980 should speak G1473 to them G3056 [²words G18 ¹good], G2532 then G1510.8.6 they will be G1473 to you G3816 for servants G3956 all G3588 the G2250 days.

  8 G2532 And G2641 he forsook G3588 the G1012 counsel G3588 of the G4245 elders, G3739 the ones G4823 advising G1473 to him, G2532 and G4823 he was advised G3326 by G3588 the G3808 young men G3588 of the ones G4899.3 being brought up G3326 with G1473 him, G3588 of the ones G2476 standing G1726 before G1473 him.

  9 G2532 And G2036 he said G1473 to them, G5100 What G1473 [² do you G1011 ³counsel G2532 ⁴that G611 ⁵I shall answer G3056 ¹word] G3588 to G2992 this people G3778   G3739 who G2980 spoke G4314 to G1473 me, G3004 saying, G447 Spare us G575 from G3588 the G2218 yoke G3739 of which G1325 [²put G3588   G3962 ¹your father] G1473   G1909 upon G1473 us?

  10 G2532 And G2980 [⁶said G1473 ⁷to him G3588 ¹the G3808 ²young men G3588   G4899.3 ³having been brought up G3326 ⁴with G1473 ⁵him], G3004 saying, G3779 Thus G2980 shall you speak G3588 to the G2992 people, G3588 to the one G2980 speaking G4314 to G1473 you, G3004 saying, G3588   G3962 Your father G1473   G925 oppressed G3588   G2218 our yoke, G1473   G2532 and G1473 you G3568 now G2893 lighten G575 from G3588   G2218 our yoke! G3779 Thus G2046 you shall say G4314 to G1473 them, G3588 [²small G3397   G1147 ³finger G1473 ¹My] G3975.1 is thicker than G3588 the G3751 loin G3588   G3962 of my father. G1473  

  11 G2532 And G3568 now G3588   G3962 my father G1473   G1783.2 inserted G1473 to you G2218 [²yoke G926 ¹a heavy], G2504 but I G4369 will add G1909 upon G3588   G2218 your yoke. G1473   G3588   G3962 My father G1473   G3811 corrected G1473 you G1722 with G3148 whips, G2504 but I G3811 will correct G1473 you G1722 with G4651 scorpions.

  12 G2532 And G2064 Jeroboam came G*   G2532 and G3956 all G3588 the G2992 people G4314 to G* Rehoboam G3588 on the G2250 [²day G3588   G5154 ¹third], G5613 as G2980 [³said G3588 ¹the G935 ²king], G3004 saying, G1994 Return G4314 to G1473 me G1722 on G3588 the G2250 [²day G3588   G5154 ¹third]!

  13 G2532 And G611 [³answered G1473 ⁴them G3588 ¹the G935 ²king] G4642 hard; G2532 and G1459 [²abandoned G3588   G935 ¹king G* ²Rehoboam] G3588 the G1012 counsel G3588 of the G4245 elders.

  14 G2532 And G2980 he spoke G4314 to G1473 them G2596 according to G3588 the G1012 counsel G3588 of the G3501 younger men, G3004 saying, G3588   G3962 My father G1473   G925 oppressed G3588   G2218 your yoke, G1473   G2532 and G1473 I G4369 will add G1909 upon G1473 it. G3588   G3962 My father G1473   G3811 corrected G1473 you G1722 with G3148 whips, G2532 and G1473 I G3811 will correct G1473 you G1722 with G4651 scorpions.

  15 G2532 And G3756 [³did not G191 ⁴hearken to G3588 ¹the G935 ²king] G3588 the G2992 people. G3754 For G1510.7.3 he was G3344.1 converted G575 from G3588   G2316 God, G2443 that G450 the lord should establish G2962   G3588   G3056 his word, G1473   G3739 which G2980 he spoke G1722 by G5495 the hand G* of Ahijah G3588 the G* Shilonite G4012 concerning G* Jeroboam G5207 son G* of Nebat.

  17 G2532 And G435 as far as the men G* of Israel G3588   G2730 dwelling G1722 in G4172 the cities G* of Judah, G936 [²reigned G1909 ³over G1473 ⁴them G3588   G* ¹Rehoboam].

  18 G2532 And G649 [⁴sent G* ¹Rehoboam G3588 ²the G935 ³king] G3588   G* Hadoram, G3588 the one G1909 over G3588 the G5411 tribute. G2532 And G3036 [⁴stoned G1473 ⁵him G3588 ¹the G5207 ²sons G* ³of Israel] G1722 with G3037 stones, G2532 and G599 he died. G2532 And G3588   G935 king G* Rehoboam G4692 hastened G3588   G305 to ascend G1519 into G3588 the G716 chariot G3588   G5343 to flee G1519 unto G* Jerusalem.

  19 G2532 And G114 Israel annulled allegiance G*   G1722 to G3588 the G3624 house G* of David G2193 until G3588   G2250 this day. G3778
