MSTC(i) 22 And see that ye be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves with sophistry. 23 For if any hear the word, and do it not, he is like unto a man that beholdeth his bodily face in a glass. 24 For as soon as he hath looked on himself, he goeth his way, and forgetteth immediately what his fashion was: 25 but whoso looketh in the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein — if he be not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work — the same shall be happy in his deed.

DouayRheims(i) 22 But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if a man be a hearer of the word and not a doer, he shall be compared to a man beholding his own countenance in a glass. 24 For he beheld himself and went his way and presently forgot what manner of man he was. 25 But he that hath looked into the perfect law of liberty and hath continued therein, not becoming a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work: this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Mace(i) 22 Don't delusively content your selves with being of the audience, but put what you hear in practice: 23 for a bare auditor without practice is like one who sees his image form'd by a mirror: 24 he takes a view, turns away, and instantly loses his appearance. 25 whereas, he that attentively considers the perfect law of liberty, and is attach'd thereto, he is not a forgetful hearer, but reduces it to practice, and his conduct is crown'd with hapiness.

Sawyer(i) 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man perceiving his natural face in a glass; 24 for he perceived himself, and went away, and immediately forgot what kind of a man he was. 25 But he that looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, not being a forgetful hearer but a doer of work, he shall be blessed in his doing.
Diaglott(i) 22 Become you but doers of word, and not only hearers, deceiving yourselves. 23 Because if any one a hearer of word is and not a doer, this is like a man viewing the face of the birth of himself in a mirror; 24 he viewed for himself, and went away, and immediately forgot what sort he was. 25 He but having looked intently into a law perfect that of the freedom and having continued, this not a hearer of forgetfulness having become, but a doer of work, this blessed in the doer of himself shall be.

YLT(i) 22 and become ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves, 23 because, if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, this one hath been like to a man viewing his natural face in a mirror, 24 for he did view himself, and hath gone away, and immediately he did forget of what kind he was; 25 and he who did look into the perfect law—that of liberty, and did continue there, this one—not a forgetful hearer becoming, but a doer of work—this one shall be happy in his doing.
JuliaSmith(i) 22 And be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if any is a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man observing the face of his creation in a mirror: 24 For he observed himself, and went away, and straightway forgot of what kind he was. 25 And he having stooped into the perfect law of liberty, and remained, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of work, he shall be happy in his doing.
Darby(i) 22 But be ye doers of [the] word and not hearers only, beguiling yourselves. 23 For if any man be a hearer of [the] word and not a doer, *he* is like to a man considering his natural face in a mirror: 24 for he has considered himself and is gone away, and straightway he has forgotten what he was like. 25 But *he* that fixes his view on [the] perfect law, that of liberty, and abides in [it], being not a forgetful hearer but a doer of [the] work, *he* shall be blessed in his doing.

Rotherham(i) 22 Become ye doers of the word, and not hearers only––reasoning yourselves astray; 23 Because, if any is, a word–hearer, and not a doer, the same, is like unto a man observing his natural face in a mirror,–– 24 For he observed himself, and is gone away, and, straightway, it hath escaped him,––what manner of man, he was! 25 But, he that hath obtained a nearer view into the perfect law of liberty, and hath taken up his abode by it, becoming––not a forgetful hearer, but a work doer, the same, happy in his doing, shall be.
Twentieth_Century(i) 22 Put that Message into practice, and do not merely listen to it--deceiving yourselves. 23 For, when any one listens to it and does not practice it, he is like a man looking at his own face in a mirror. 24 He looks at himself, then goes on his way, 25 But he who looks carefully into the perfect Law, the Law of Freedom, and continues to do so, not listening to it and then forgetting it, but putting it into practice--that man will be blessed in what he does.
Godbey(i) 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if any one is a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man beholding his natural face in a mirror: 24 for he recognized himself, and has gone away, and immediately forgot what kind he was. 25 But the one having looked into the perfect law which is the law of liberty, and having remained in it, not being a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, he shall be happy in his work.
WNT(i) 22 But prove yourselves obedient to the Message, and do not be mere hearers of it, imposing a delusion upon yourselves. 23 For if any one listens but does not obey, he is like a man who carefully looks at his own face in a mirror. 24 Although he has looked carefully at himself, he goes away, and has immediately forgotten the sort of man he is. 25 But he who looks closely into the perfect Law--the Law of freedom--and continues looking, he, being not a hearer who forgets, but an obedient doer, will as the result of his obedience be blessed.
Worrell(i) 22 And become doers of the word, and not hearers only, deluding yourselves. 23 Because, if anyone is a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man beholding his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observed himself, and went away, and straightway he forgot what manner of man he was. 25 But he who looks carefully into a perfect law—that of liberty—and remains by it, becoming not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work—this man shall be happy in his doing.
Moffatt(i) 22 Act on the Word, instead of merely listening to it and deluding yourselves. 23 For whoever listens and does nothing, is like a man who glances at his natural face in a mirror; 24 he glances at himself, goes off, and at once forgets what he was like. 25 Whereas he who gazes into the faultless law of freedom and remains in that position, proving himself to be no forgetful listener but an active agent, he will be blessed in his activity.
Goodspeed(i) 22 Obey the message; do not merely listen to it, and deceive yourselves. 23 For anyone who merely listens to the message without obeying it is like a man who looks in a mirror at the face that nature gave him, 24 and then goes off and immediately forgets what he looked like. 25 But whoever looks at the faultless law that makes men free and keeps looking, so that he does not just listen and forget, but obeys and acts upon it, will be blessed in what he does.
Riverside(i) 22 Become doers of the message and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if one is a hearer of the message and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror. 24 He looks at himself and is gone, and immediately forgets what sort of man he was. 25 But he who looks earnestly into the perfect law of liberty and continues to do so, and becomes not a forgetful hearer but a doer of work — that man will be blessed in what he does.
MNT(i) 22 And become doers of the Word, and not merely hearers, deceiving yourselves. 23 Because if any one is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; 24 for after he has looked carefully at himself, he goes away, and at once forgets what he is like. 25 But the man who looks closely into the perfect law—the law of liberty—and continues looking, this man will be blessed in his deed because he is not a hearer who forgets, but a doer who does.
Lamsa(i) 22 But you be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man who sees his face in a mirror; 24 For he sees himself and goes his way, and forgets how he looked. 25 But whoever looks into the perfect law of liberty, and abides in it, is not merely a hearer of the word which can be forgotten but a doer of the work, and this man shall be blessed in his work.
CLV(i) 22 Now become doers of the word, and not only listeners, beguiling yourselves." 23 For if anyone is a listener to the word and not a doer, this one simulates a man considering the face he inherited in a mirror;" 24 for he considers himself and has come away, and immediately forgot what kind he was." 25 Now he who peers into the perfect law, that of freedom, and abides, not becoming a forgetful listener, but a doer of the work, this one will be happy in his doing."
Williams(i) 22 Keep on obeying this message; do not merely listen to it, and so deceive yourselves. 23 Because if anyone merely listens to the message without obeying it, he is like a man who looks in a mirror at his own face, 24 for he looks and then goes off and at once forgets how he looked. 25 But the man who looks at the flawless law that makes men free, and keeps on looking, proving himself to be, not a forgetful hearer but an actual doer of what it requires, will be blessed in what he does.
BBE(i) 22 But be doers of the word, and not only hearers of it, blinding yourselves with false ideas. 23 Because if any man is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a glass; 24 For after looking at himself he goes away, and in a short time he has no memory of what he was like. 25 But he who goes on looking into the true law which makes him free, being not a hearer without memory but a doer putting it into effect, this man will have a blessing on his acts.
MKJV(i) 22 But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man studying his natural face in a mirror. 24 For he studied himself and went his way, and immediately he forgot what he was like. 25 But whoever looks into the perfect Law of liberty and continues in it, he is not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work. This one shall be blessed in his doing.
LITV(i) 22 But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 Because if anyone is a hearer of the Word, and not a doer, this one is like a man studying his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he studied himself, and has gone away, and immediately he forgot of what kind he was. 25 But the one looking into the perfect law of liberty, and continuing in it, this one not having become a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in his doing.
ECB(i) 22 and become doers of the word and not only hearers - deluding your own selves. 23 Because if any be a hearer of the word and not a doer, he resembles a man perceiving his genetic face in a mirror: 24 for he perceives himself - and goes - and straightway forgets what manner he is. 25 But whoever looks into the torah of completion/shalom of liberty and abides therein, not being a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one becomes blessed in his doing.
AUV(i) 22 But you should not deceive yourselves by just listening [to God’s word] instead of doing what the word teaches. 23 For if anyone is [only] a listener to the word and does not practice it, he is like a person who sees his natural face in a mirror, 24 and [then after] he sees himself, [he] goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But the person who looks closely into the perfect law that brings freedom, and continues to do so, is not a listener who forgets [what he hears], but someone who does the work [it requires]. This person will be blessed for doing so.
ACV(i) 22 But become ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 Because if any man is a hearer of the word and not a doer, this resembles a man observing his natural face in a mirror. 24 For he observes himself, and goes away, and straightaway forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who stooped to look into the perfect law, the one of liberty, and who remained, this man, who did not become a forgetful hearer but a doer of work, this man will be blessed in his doing.
Common(i) 22 But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who deceive themselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he looks at himself and goes away, and immediately forgets what he was like. 25 But one who looks intently into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but a doer that acts, this man will be blessed in what he does.
WEB(i) 22 But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom and continues, not being a hearer who forgets, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.

RYLT(i) 22 and become you doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves, 23 because, if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, this one has been like to a man viewing his natural face in a mirror, 24 for he did view himself, and has gone away, and immediately he did forget of what kind he was; 25 and he who did look into the perfect law -- that of liberty, and did continue there, this one -- not a forgetful hearer becoming, but a doer of work -- this one shall be happy in his doing.
EJ2000(i) 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if anyone hears the word and does not put it into practice, this same is like unto the man beholding his natural face in a mirror: 24 For he considered himself and went his way and in one hour forgot what he was like. 25 But whosoever has looked attentively into the perfect law of liberty and has persevered in it, not being a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, the same shall be blessed in their deed.
CAB(i) 22 But become doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, this one is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observed himself and has gone away, and immediately forgot what sort of man he was. 25 But the one who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one shall be blessed in what he does.
WPNT(i) 22 Further, become word doers and not just hearers, deceiving yourselves. 23 Because if anyone is a law hearer and not a doer, the same is like a man observing his physical face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, then goes away and promptly forgets what he’s like. 25 But he who looks carefully into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, he—not being a forgetful hearer but a work doer—he will be blessed in what he does.
JMNT(i) 22 Now you must continuously come to be (or: be progressively birthed) performers of [the] Word (or: makers of collected thought; framers of an idea; authors of a message; producers of reason; [the] Word's doers), and not only hearing ones (listeners; those hearing in an auditorium), continuously deceiving (reckoning aside; miscalculating) yourselves. (another combination of these options yields: So you folks must be progressively birthed to be authors of a message, and not only those in an auditorium, continuously miscalculating yourselves.) 23 Because if someone is a hearer of [the] Word (a listener to a thought, idea or message) and not a doer (performer; producer), this one is like (resembles) an adult male contemplating (considering; attentively pondering) in a mirror the face of his birth (genesis; origin; existence; generation; lineage; or: = the face with which he was born): 24 for he contemplated himself and has departed, and immediately forgot of what sort (quality; manner) he was. 25 But the one stooping down beside in order to attentively view into (giving a penetrating look into) the perfect (finished and realized; matured; completed; full-grown and fully developed; purposed and destined) law – the one which is freedom (or: the one whose source is, and which has the qualities of, freedom and liberty) – and then remaining (abiding; dwelling) beside [it] – not being birthed (or: coming to be) a hearer of forgetfulness (or: a forgetful listener), but rather a performer of work (a producer of action) – this person will continue being happy and blessed within his performing and in union with his producing.
NSB(i) 22 Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, who deceive themselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror. 24 He sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what manner of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and so continues, being not a hearer who forgets but a doer who works, this man will be blessed in what he does.
ISV(i) 22 Keep on being obedient to the word, and not merely being hearers who deceive themselves. 23 For if anyone hears the word but is not obedient to it, he is like a man who looks at himself in a mirror 24 and studies himself carefully, and then goes off and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But the one who looks at the perfect law of freedom and remains committed to it—thereby demonstrating that he is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of what that law requires—will be blessed in what he does.
