2 H5358 H5360 [H8798] Avenge H1121 the children H3478 of Israel H4084 of the Midianites H310 : afterward H622 [H8735] shalt thou be gathered H5971 to thy people.

3 H4872 And Moses H1696 [H8762] spoke H5971 to the people H559 [H8800] , saying H2502 [H8734] , Arm H582 some H6635 of yourselves for the war H4080 , and let them go against the Midianites H5414 H5360 [H8800] , and avenge H3068 the LORD H4080 on Midian.

4 H4294 Of every tribe H505 a thousand H4294 , throughout all the tribes H3478 of Israel H7971 [H8799] , shall ye send H6635 to the war.

5 H4560 [H8735] So there were delivered H505 out of the thousands H3478 of Israel H505 , a thousand H4294 of every tribe H8147 H6240 , twelve H505 thousand H2502 [H8803] armed H6635 for war.

6 H4872 And Moses H7971 [H8799] sent H6635 them to the war H505 , a thousand H4294 of every tribe H6372 , them and Phinehas H1121 the son H499 of Eleazar H3548 the priest H6635 , to the war H6944 , with the holy H3627 instruments H2689 , and the trumpets H8643 to blow H3027 in his hand.

7 H6633 [H8799] And they warred H4080 against the Midianites H3068 , as the LORD H6680 [H8765] commanded H4872 Moses H2026 [H8799] ; and they slew H2145 all the males.

9 H1121 And the children H3478 of Israel H802 took all the women H4080 of Midian H7617 [H8799] captives H2945 , and their little ones H962 [H8804] , and took the spoil H929 of all their cattle H4735 , and all their flocks H2428 , and all their goods.

10 H8313 [H8804] And they burnt H5892 all their cities H4186 in which they dwelt H2918 , and all their goodly castles H784 , with fire.

11 H3947 [H8799] And they took H7998 all the spoil H4455 , and all the prey H120 , both of men H929 and of beasts.

12 H935 [H8686] And they brought H7628 the captives H4455 , and the prey H7998 , and the spoil H4872 , to Moses H499 , and Eleazar H3548 the priest H5712 , and to the congregation H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H4264 , to the camp H6160 at the plains H4124 of Moab H3383 , which are by Jordan H3405 near Jericho.
