Numbers 31:1-12 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

2 H5358 Avenge H1121 the children H3478 of Israel H4084 of the Midianites: H310 afterward H622 shalt thou be gathered H5971 unto thy people.

3 H4872 And Moses H1696 spake H5971 unto the people, H559 saying, H2502 Arm H582 ye men H6635 from among you for the war, H4080 that they may go against Midian, H3068 to execute Jehovah's H5414 vengeance H4080 on Midian.

4 H4294 Of every tribe H505 a thousand, H4294 throughout all the tribes H3478 of Israel, H7971 shall ye send H6635 to the war.

5 H4560 So there were delivered, H505 out of the thousands H3478 of Israel, H505 a thousand H4294 of every tribe, H8147 twelve H505 thousand H2502 armed H6635 for war.

6 H4872 And Moses H7971 sent H505 them, a thousand H4294 of every tribe, H6635 to the war, H6372 them and Phinehas H1121 the son H499 of Eleazar H3548 the priest, H6635 to the war, H3627 with the vessels H6944 of the sanctuary H2689 and the trumpets H8643 for the alarm H3027 in his hand.

7 H6633 And they warred H4080 against Midian, H3068 as Jehovah H6680 commanded H4872 Moses; H2026 and they slew H2145 every male.

8 H2026 And they slew H4428 the kings H4080 of Midian H5921 with H2491 the rest of their slain: H189 Evi, H7552 and Rekem, H6698 and Zur, H2354 and Hur, H7254 and Reba, H2568 the five H4428 kings H4080 of Midian: H1109 Balaam H1121 also the son H1160 of Beor H2026 they slew H2719 with the sword.

9 H1121 And the children H3478 of Israel H7617 took captive H802 the women H4080 of Midian H2945 and their little ones; H929 and all their cattle, H4735 and all their flocks, H2428 and all their goods, H962 they took for a prey.

10 H5892 And all their cities H4186 in the places wherein they dwelt, H2918 and all their encampments, H784 they burnt with fire.

11 H3947 And they took H7998 all the spoil, H4455 and all the prey, H120 both of man H929 and of beast.

12 H935 And they brought H7628 the captives, H4455 and the prey, H7998 and the spoil, H4872 unto Moses, H499 and unto Eleazar H3548 the priest, H5712 and unto the congregation H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel, H4264 unto the camp H6160 at the plains H4124 of Moab, H3383 which are by the Jordan H3405 at Jericho.
