2 Kings 8:8-15

  8 H4428 And the king H559 said [H8799]   H2371 unto Hazael H3947 , Take [H8798]   H4503 a present H3027 in thine hand H3212 , and go [H8798]   H7125 , meet [H8800]   H376 the man H430 of God H1875 , and enquire [H8804]   H3068 of the LORD H559 by him, saying [H8800]   H2421 , Shall I recover [H8799]   H2483 of this disease?

  9 H2371 So Hazael H3212 went [H8799]   H7125 to meet [H8800]   H3947 him, and took [H8799]   H4503 a present H3027 with him H2898 , even of every good thing H1834 of Damascus H705 , forty H1581 camels H4853 ' burden H935 , and came [H8799]   H5975 and stood [H8799]   H6440 before H559 him, and said [H8799]   H1121 , Thy son H1130 Benhadad H4428 king H758 of Syria H7971 hath sent [H8804]   H559 me to thee, saying [H8800]   H2421 , Shall I recover [H8799]   H2483 of this disease?

  10 H477 And Elisha H559 said [H8799]   H3212 unto him, Go [H8798]   H559 , say [H8798]   H2421 unto him, Thou mayest certainly [H8800]   H2421 recover [H8799]   H3068 : howbeit the LORD H7200 hath shewed [H8689]   H4191 me that he shall surely [H8800]   H4191 die [H8799]  .

  11 H5975 And he settled [H8686]   H6440 his countenance H7760 stedfastly [H8799]   H954 , until he was ashamed [H8800]   H376 : and the man H430 of God H1058 wept [H8799]  .

  12 H2371 And Hazael H559 said [H8799]   H1058 , Why weepeth [H8802]   H113 my lord H559 ? And he answered [H8799]   H3045 , Because I know [H8804]   H7451 the evil H6213 that thou wilt do [H8799]   H1121 unto the children H3478 of Israel H4013 : their strong holds H7971 wilt thou set [H8762]   H784 on fire H970 , and their young men H2026 wilt thou slay [H8799]   H2719 with the sword H7376 , and wilt dash [H8762]   H5768 their children H1234 , and rip up [H8762]   H2030 their women with child.

  13 H2371 And Hazael H559 said [H8799]   H5650 , But what, is thy servant H3611 a dog H6213 , that he should do [H8799]   H1419 this great H1697 thing H477 ? And Elisha H559 answered [H8799]   H3068 , The LORD H7200 hath shewed [H8689]   H4428 me that thou shalt be king H758 over Syria.

  14 H3212 So he departed [H8799]   H477 from Elisha H935 , and came [H8799]   H113 to his master H559 ; who said [H8799]   H559 to him, What said [H8804]   H477 Elisha H559 to thee? And he answered [H8799]   H559 , He told [H8804]   H2421 me that thou shouldest surely [H8800]   H2421 recover [H8799]  .

  15 H4283 And it came to pass on the morrow H3947 , that he took [H8799]   H4346 a thick cloth H2881 , and dipped [H8799]   H4325 it in water H6566 , and spread [H8799]   H6440 it on his face H4191 , so that he died [H8799]   H2371 : and Hazael H4427 reigned [H8799]   in his stead.
