KJV_Strongs(i)
H3462 And she made him sleep [H8762]   H1290 upon her knees H7121 ; and she called [H8799]   H376 for a man H1548 , and she caused him to shave off [H8762]   H7651 the seven H4253 locks H7218 of his head H2490 ; and she began [H8686]   H6031 to afflict [H8763]   H3581 him, and his strength H5493 went [H8799]   from him.
H559 And she said [H8799]   H6430 , The Philistines H8123 be upon thee, Samson H3364 . And he awoke [H8799]   H8142 out of his sleep H559 , and said [H8799]   H3318 , I will go out [H8799]   H6471 as at other times before H5287 , and shake [H8735]   H3045 myself. And he wist [H8804]   H3068 not that the LORD H5493 was departed [H8804]   from him.
H6430 But the Philistines H270 took [H8799]   H5365 him, and put out [H8762]   H5869 his eyes H3381 , and brought him down [H8686]   H5804 to Gaza H631 , and bound [H8799]   H5178 him with fetters of brass H2912 ; and he did grind [H8802]   H631 in the prison [H8803]   H1004 house.
H8181 Howbeit the hair H7218 of his head H2490 began [H8686]   H6779 to grow again [H8763]   H834 after H1548 he was shaven [H8795]  .
H5633 Then the lords H6430 of the Philistines H622 gathered them together [H8738]   H2076 for to offer [H8800]   H1419 a great H2077 sacrifice H1712 unto Dagon H430 their god H8057 , and to rejoice H559 : for they said [H8799]   H430 , Our god H5414 hath delivered [H8804]   H8123 Samson H341 our enemy [H8802]   H3027 into our hand.
H5971 And when the people H7200 saw [H8799]   H1984 him, they praised [H8762]   H430 their god H559 : for they said [H8804]   H430 , Our god H5414 hath delivered [H8804]   H3027 into our hands H341 our enemy [H8802]   H2717 , and the destroyer [H8688]   H776 of our country H2491 , which slew H7235 many [H8689]   of us.
H3820 And it came to pass, when their hearts H2896 were merry H559 , that they said [H8799]   H7121 , Call [H8798]   H8123 for Samson H7832 , that he may make us sport [H8762]   H7121 . And they called [H8799]   H8123 for Samson H631 out of the prison [H8803]   H1004 house H6440 ; and he made them H6711 sport [H8762]   H5975 : and they set [H8686]   H5982 him between the pillars.
H8123 And Samson H559 said [H8799]   H5288 unto the lad H2388 that held [H8688]   H3027 him by the hand H3240 , Suffer [H8685]   H4184 me that I may feel [H8685]   [H8675]   H3237   [H8685]   H5982 the pillars H1004 whereupon the house H3559 standeth [H8737]   H8172 , that I may lean [H8735]   upon them.
H1004 Now the house H4390 was full [H8804]   H582 of men H802 and women H5633 ; and all the lords H6430 of the Philistines H1406 were there; and there were upon the roof H7969 about three H505 thousand H376 men H802 and women H7200 , that beheld [H8802]   H8123 while Samson H7832 made sport [H8800]  .
H8123 And Samson H7121 called [H8799]   H3068 unto the LORD H559 , and said [H8799]   H136 , O Lord H3069 GOD H2142 , remember [H8798]   H2388 me, I pray thee, and strengthen [H8761]   H6471 me, I pray thee, only this once H430 , O God H259 , that I may be at once H5358 avenged [H8735]   H5359   H6430 of the Philistines H8147 for my two H5869 eyes.
H8123 And Samson H3943 took hold [H8799]   H8147 of the two H8432 middle H5982 pillars H1004 upon which the house H3559 stood [H8737]   H5564 , and on which it was borne up [H8735]   H259 , of the one H3225 with his right hand H259 , and of the other H8040 with his left.
H8123 And Samson H559 said [H8799]   H4191 , Let me die [H8799]   H5315   H6430 with the Philistines H5186 . And he bowed [H8799]   H3581 himself with all his might H1004 ; and the house H5307 fell [H8799]   H5633 upon the lords H5971 , and upon all the people H4191 that were therein. So the dead [H8801]   H4191 which he slew [H8689]   H4194 at his death H7227 were more H4191 than they which he slew [H8689]   H2416 in his life.
ERV(i) 19 And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and shaved off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him. 20 And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times, and shake myself. But he wist not that the LORD was departed from him. 21 And the Philistines laid hold on him, and put out his eyes; and they brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house. 22 Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again after he was shaven. 23 And the lords of the Philistines gathered them together for to offer a great sacrifice unto Dagon their god, and to rejoice: for they said, Our god hath delivered Samson our enemy into our hand. 24 And when the people saw him, they praised their god: for they said, Our god hath delivered into our hand our enemy, and the destroyer of our country, which hath slain many of us. 25 And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make us sport. And they called for Samson out of the prison house; and he made sport before them: and they set him between the pillars. 26 and Samson said unto the lad that held him by the hand, Suffer me that I may feel the pillars whereupon the house resteth, that I may lean upon them. 27 Now the house was full of men and women; and all the lords of the Philistines were there; and there were upon the roof about three thousand men and women, that beheld while Samson made sport. 28 And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, remember member me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes. 29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house rested, and leaned upon them, the one with his right hand, and the other with his left. 30 And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.
