Ezekiel 4 Thou also, son of man , take thee a tile , and lay it before thee, and pourtray upon it the city , even Jerusalem:

2 H5414 And lay [H8804] H4692 siege H1129 against it, and build [H8804] H1785 a fort H8210 against it, and cast [H8804] H5550 a mount H5414 against it; set [H8804] H4264 the camp H7760 also against it, and set [H8798] H3733 battering rams H5439 against it round about.

3 H3947 Moreover take [H8798] H1270 thou unto thee an iron H4227 pan H5414 , and set [H8804] H7023 it for a wall H1270 of iron H5892 between thee and the city H3559 : and set [H8689] H6440 thy face H4692 against it, and it shall be besieged H6696 , and thou shalt lay siege [H8804] H226 against it. This shall be a sign H1004 to the house H3478 of Israel.

4 H7901 Lie [H8798] H8042 thou also upon thy left H6654 side H7760 , and lay [H8804] H5771 the iniquity H1004 of the house H3478 of Israel H4557 upon it: according to the number H3117 of the days H7901 that thou shalt lie [H8799] H5375 upon it thou shalt bear [H8799] H5771 their iniquity.

5 H5414 For I have laid [H8804] H8141 upon thee the years H5771 of their iniquity H4557 , according to the number H3117 of the days H7969 , three H3967 hundred H8673 and ninety H3117 days H5375 : so shalt thou bear [H8804] H5771 the iniquity H1004 of the house H3478 of Israel.

6 H3615 And when thou hast accomplished [H8765] H428 them H7901 , lie [H8804] H8145 again H3233 on thy right [H8675] H3227 H6654 side H5375 , and thou shalt bear [H8804] H5771 the iniquity H1004 of the house H3063 of Judah H705 forty H3117 days H5414 : I have appointed [H8804] H3117 thee each day H3117 H8141 for a year H8141 .

7 H3559 Therefore thou shalt set [H8686] H6440 thy face H4692 toward the siege H3389 of Jerusalem H2220 , and thine arm H2834 shall be uncovered [H8803] H5012 , and thou shalt prophesy [H8738] against it.

8 H5414 And, behold, I will lay [H8804] H5688 bands H2015 upon thee, and thou shalt not turn [H8735] H6654 thee from one side H6654 to another H3615 , till thou hast ended [H8763] H3117 the days H4692 of thy siege.

9 H3947 Take [H8798] H2406 thou also unto thee wheat H8184 , and barley H6321 , and beans H5742 , and lentiles H1764 , and millet H3698 , and fitches H5414 , and put [H8804] H259 them in one H3627 vessel H6213 , and make [H8804] H3899 thee bread H4557 thereof, according to the number H3117 of the days H7901 that thou shalt lie [H8802] H6654 upon thy side H7969 , three H3967 hundred H8673 and ninety H3117 days H398 shalt thou eat [H8799] thereof.

10 H3978 And thy meat H398 which thou shalt eat [H8799] H4946 shall be by weight H6242 , twenty H8255 shekels H3117 a day H6256 : from time H6256 to time H398 shalt thou eat [H8799] it.

11 H8354 Thou shalt drink [H8799] H4325 also water H4884 by measure H8345 , the sixth part H1969 of an hin H6256 : from time H6256 to time H8354 shalt thou drink [H8799] .

12 H398 And thou shalt eat [H8799] H8184 it as barley H5692 cakes H5746 , and thou shalt bake [H8799] H1561 it with dung H6627 that cometh out H120 of man H5869 , in their sight.

13 H3068 And the LORD H559 said [H8799] H1121 , Even thus shall the children H3478 of Israel H398 eat [H8799] H2931 their defiled H3899 bread H1471 among the Gentiles H5080 , whither I will drive [H8686] them.

16 H559 Moreover he said [H8799] H1121 unto me, Son H120 of man H7665 , behold, I will break [H8799] H4294 the staff H3899 of bread H3389 in Jerusalem H398 : and they shall eat [H8804] H3899 bread H4948 by weight H1674 , and with care H8354 ; and they shall drink [H8799] H4325 water H4884 by measure H8078 , and with astonishment:

17 H2637 That they may want [H8799] H3899 bread H4325 and water H8074 , and be astonied [H8738] H376 one H251 with another H4743 , and consume away [H8738] H5771 for their iniquity.

This shall be a sign to the house of Israel. ⁴ Moreover lie thou upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: [according to] the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it, thou shalt bear their iniquity. ⁵ For I have appointed the years of their iniquity to be unto thee a number of days, even three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel. ⁶ And again, when thou hast accomplished these, thou shalt lie on thy right side, and shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah: forty days, each day for a year, have I appointed it unto thee. ⁷ And thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, with thine arm uncovered; and thou shalt prophesy against it. ⁸ And, behold, I lay bands upon thee, and thou shalt not turn thee from one side to another, till thou hast accomplished the days of thy siege. ⁹ Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof; [according to] the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, even three hundred and ninety days, shalt thou eat thereof. ¹⁰ And thy meat which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it. ¹¹ And thou shalt drink water by measure, the sixth part of an hin: from time to time shalt thou drink. ¹² And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it in their sight with dung that cometh out of man. ¹³ And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their bread unclean, among the nations whither I will drive them. ¹⁴ Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn of beasts; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth; ¹⁵ Then he said unto me, See, I have given thee cow’s dung for man’s dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread thereon. ¹⁶ Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with carefulness; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment: ¹⁷ that they may want bread and water, and be astonied one with another, and pine away in their iniquity.
