Jeremiah 25:15-38 For thus saith the LORD God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand , and cause all the nations , to whom I send thee, to drink it.

23 H1719 Dedan H8485 , and Tema H938 , and Buz H7112 , and all that are in the utmost [H8803] H6285 corners,

24 H4428 And all the kings H6152 of Arabia H4428 , and all the kings H6153 of the mingled people H7931 that dwell [H8802] H4057 in the desert,

25 H4428 And all the kings H2174 of Zimri H4428 , and all the kings H5867 of Elam H4428 , and all the kings H4074 of the Medes,

26 H4428 And all the kings H6828 of the north H7350 , far H7138 and near H376 , one H251 with another H4467 , and all the kingdoms H776 of the world H6440 , which are upon the face H127 of the earth H4428 : and the king H8347 of Sheshach H8354 shall drink [H8799] H310 after them.

27 H559 Therefore thou shalt say [H8804] H559 unto them, Thus saith [H8804] H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts H430 , the God H3478 of Israel H8354 ; Drink [H8798] H7937 ye, and be drunken [H8798] H7006 , and spue [H8798] H5307 , and fall [H8798] H6965 , and rise [H8799] H6440 no more, because H2719 of the sword H7971 which I will send [H8802] among you.

28 H3985 And it shall be, if they refuse [H8762] H3947 to take [H8800] H3563 the cup H3027 at thine hand H8354 to drink [H8800] H559 , then shalt thou say [H8804] H559 unto them, Thus saith [H8804] H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts H8354 ; Ye shall certainly [H8800] H8354 drink [H8799] .

33 H2491 And the slain H3068 of the LORD H3117 shall be at that day H7097 from one end H776 of the earth H7097 even unto the other end H776 of the earth H5594 : they shall not be lamented [H8735] H622 , neither gathered [H8735] H6912 , nor buried [H8735] H1828 ; they shall be dung H6440 upon H127 the ground.

35 H7462 And the shepherds [H8802] H4498 shall have no way H6 to flee [H8804] H117 , nor the principal H6629 of the flock H6413 to escape.

36 H6963 A voice H6818 of the cry H7462 of the shepherds [H8802] H3215 , and an howling H117 of the principal H6629 of the flock H3068 , shall be heard : for the LORD H7703 hath spoiled [H8802] H4830 their pasture.

37 H7965 And the peaceable H4999 habitations H1826 are cut down [H8738] H6440 because H2740 of the fierce H639 anger H3068 of the LORD.

38 H5800 He hath forsaken [H8804] H5520 his covert H3715 , as the lion H776 : for their land H8047 is desolate H6440 because H2740 of the fierceness H3238 of the oppressor [H8802] H6440 , and because H2740 of his fierce H639 anger.

Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts. ³⁰ Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, The LORD shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar against his fold; he shall give a shout, as they that tread [the grapes], against all the inhabitants of the earth. ³¹ A noise shall come even to the end of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; as for the wicked, he will give them to the sword, saith the LORD. ³² Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great tempest shall be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth. ³³ And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the face of the ground. ³⁴ Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves [in ashes], ye principal of the flock: for the days of your slaughter are fully come, and I will break you in pieces, and ye shall fall like a pleasant vessel. ³⁵ And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape. ³⁶ A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and the howling of the principal of the flock! for the LORD layeth waste their pasture. ³⁷ And the peaceable folds are brought to silence because of the fierce anger of the LORD. ³⁸ He hath forsaken his covert, as the lion: for their land is become an astonishment because of the fierceness of the oppressing [sword], and because of his fierce anger.
