10 H935 ויבאו So they came H7121 ויקראו and called H413 אל unto H7778 שׁער the porter H5892 העיר of the city: H5046 ויגידו and they told H1992 להם they H559 לאמר them, saying, H935 באנו We came H413 אל to H4264 מחנה the camp H758 ארם of the Syrians, H2009 והנה and, behold, H369 אין no H8033 שׁם there, H376 אישׁ man H6963 וקול neither voice H120 אדם of man, H3588 כי but H518 אם but H5483 הסוס horses H631 אסור tied, H2543 והחמור and asses H631 אסור tied, H168 ואהלים and the tents H834 כאשׁר as H1992 המה׃

11 H7121 ויקרא And he called H7778 השׁערים the porters; H5046 ויגידו and they told H1004 בית house H4428 המלך to the king's H6441 פנימה׃ within.

12 H6965 ויקם arose H4428 המלך And the king H3915 לילה in the night, H559 ויאמר and said H413 אל unto H5650 עבדיו his servants, H5046 אגידה show H4994 נא I will now H853 לכם את H834 אשׁר you what H6213 עשׂו have done H758 לנו ארם the Syrians H3045 ידעו to us. They know H3588 כי that H7457 רעבים hungry; H587 אנחנו we H3318 ויצאו therefore are they gone out H4480 מן of H4264 המחנה the camp H2247 להחבה to hide themselves H7704 בהשׂדה in the field, H559 לאמר saying, H3588 כי When H3318 יצאו they come out H4480 מן of H5892 העיר the city, H8610 ונתפשׂם we shall catch H2416 חיים them alive, H413 ואל into H5892 העיר the city. H935 נבא׃ and get

13 H6030 ויען answered H259 אחד And one H5650 מעבדיו of his servants H559 ויאמר and said, H3947 ויקחו Let take, H4994 נא I pray thee, H2568 חמשׁה five H4480 מן of his servants H5483 הסוסים the horses H7604 הנשׁארים that remain, H834 אשׁר which H7604 נשׁארו are left H2009 בה הנם in the city, (behold, H3605 ככל they as all H1995 ההמון the multitude H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H834 אשׁר that H7604 נשׁארו are left H2005 בה הנם H3605 ככל they even as all H1995 המון the multitude H3478 ישׂראל of the Israelites H834 אשׁר that H8552 תמו are consumed:) H7971 ונשׁלחה and let us send H7200 ונראה׃ and see.

14 H3947 ויקחו They took H8147 שׁני therefore two H7393 רכב chariot H5483 סוסים horses; H7971 וישׁלח sent H4428 המלך and the king H310 אחרי after H4264 מחנה the host H758 ארם of the Syrians, H559 לאמר saying, H1980 לכו Go H7200 וראו׃ and see.

15 H1980 וילכו And they went H310 אחריהם after H5704 עד them unto H3383 הירדן Jordan: H2009 והנה and, lo, H3605 כל all H1870 הדרך the way H4392 מלאה full H899 בגדים of garments H3627 וכלים and vessels, H834 אשׁר which H7993 השׁליכו had cast away H758 ארם the Syrians H2648 בהחפזם in their haste. H7725 וישׁבו returned, H4397 המלאכים And the messengers H5046 ויגדו and told H4428 למלך׃ the king.

16 H3318 ויצא went out, H5971 העם And the people H962 ויבזו and spoiled H853 את H4264 מחנה the tents H758 ארם of the Syrians. H1961 ויהי was H5429 סאה So a measure H5560 סלת of fine flour H8255 בשׁקל for a shekel, H5429 וסאתים and two measures H8184 שׂערים of barley H8255 בשׁקל for a shekel, H1697 כדבר according to the word H3068 יהוה׃ of the LORD.
