There stood a man, a Macedonian, beseeching him, and saying: Come over into Macedonia and help us. ¹⁰ And when he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go into Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to publish the good news to them. ¹¹ Therefore setting sail from Troas, we ran with a straight course to Samothrace, and on the following day to Neapolis; ¹² and from thence to Philippi, which is a chief city of that part of Macedonia, a colony. And we continued in that city certain days. ¹³ And on the sabbath, we went forth out of the gate by a river side, where was wont to be a place of prayer; and we sat down, and spoke to the women who came together.
