WPNT⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁹ A vision appeared to Paul during the night: a man of Macedonia was standing, appealing to him and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us”. ¹⁰ So when he saw the vision, we immediately prepared to go over to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to evangelize them. ¹¹ So setting sail from Troas, we ran a straight course to Samothrace, and the next day to Neapolis; ¹² and from there to Philippi, which is the foremost city of that part of Macedonia, a colony. We stayed some days in that city. ¹³ On the Sabbath day we went outside the city by a river, where prayer was customarily made, and sitting down we started speaking to the assembled women.
