Whiston⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁹ [And] one like a man of Macedonia appeared to Paul in a vision in the night, standing over against him, and prayed, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. ¹⁰ When therefore he was risen he declared to us the vision, and we understood that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel unto those that were in Macedonia. ¹¹ Now on the morrow, loosing from Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis; ¹² And from thence to Philippi, which is the head of Macedonia, a colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days. ¹³ But on the sabbath-day we went out of the gate by the river, where there appeared to be an house of prayer: and we sat down and spake unto the women who came along with us.
