Numbers 17 And the LORD spoke to Moses , saying,

2 H1696 [H8761] Speak H1121 to the children H3478 of Israel H3947 [H8798] , and take H4294 of every one of them a rod H1004 according to the house H1 of their fathers H5387 , of all their princes H1004 according to the house H1 of their fathers H8147 H6240 twelve H4294 rods H3789 [H8799] : write H376 thou every man's H8034 name H4294 upon his rod.

3 H3789 [H8799] And thou shalt write H175 Aaron's H8034 name H4294 upon the rod H3878 of Levi H259 : for one H4294 rod H7218 shall be for the head H1004 of the house H1 of their fathers.

4 H3240 [H8689] And thou shalt lay them H168 in the tabernacle H4150 of the congregation H6440 before H5715 the testimony H3259 [H8735] , where I will meet with you.

5 H376 And it shall come to pass, that the man's H4294 rod H977 [H8799] , whom I shall choose H6524 [H8799] , shall blossom H7918 [H8689] : and I will make to cease H8519 from me the murmurings H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H3885 [H8688] , by which they murmur against you.

6 H4872 And Moses H1696 [H8762] spoke H1121 to the children H3478 of Israel H5387 , and every one of their princes H5414 [H8799] gave H4294 him a rod H5387 apiece, for each prince H259 one H1 , according to their fathers H1004 ' houses H6240 H8147 , even twelve H4294 rods H4294 : and the rod H175 of Aaron H8432 was among H4294 their rods.

7 H4872 And Moses H3240 [H8686] laid H4294 the rods H6440 before H3068 the LORD H168 in the tabernacle H5715 of witness.

8 H4283 And it came to pass, that on the next day H4872 Moses H935 [H8799] went H168 into the tabernacle H5715 of witness H4294 ; and, behold, the rod H175 of Aaron H1004 for the house H3878 of Levi H6524 [H8804] had budded H3318 [H8686] , and brought forth H6525 buds H6692 [H8686] , and bloomed H6731 blossoms H1580 [H8799] , and yielded H8247 almonds.

9 H4872 And Moses H3318 [H8686] brought out H4294 all the rods H6440 from before H3068 the LORD H1121 to all the children H3478 of Israel H7200 [H8799] : and they looked H3947 [H8799] , and took H376 every man H4294 his rod.

10 H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] said H4872 to Moses H7725 0 , Bring H175 Aaron's H4294 rod H7725 [H8685] again H6440 before H5715 the testimony H4931 , to be kept H226 for a sign H4805 H1121 against the rebels H3615 [H8762] ; and thou shalt quite take away H8519 their murmurings H4191 [H8799] from me, that they die not.

11 H4872 And Moses H6213 [H8799] did H3068 so: as the LORD H6680 [H8765] commanded H6213 [H8804] him, so did he.

12 H1121 And the children H3478 of Israel H559 [H8799] spoke H4872 to Moses H559 [H8800] , saying H1478 [H8804] , Behold, we die H6 [H8804] , we perish H6 [H8804] , we all perish.

13 H7131 Whoever approacheth H4908 the tabernacle H3068 of the LORD H4191 [H8799] shall die H8552 [H8804] : shall we be consumed H1478 [H8800] with dying?
