1 Kings 21:2-19 And Ahab spoke to Naboth , saying , Give me thy vineyard , that I may have it for a garden of herbs , because it is near to my house : and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seemeth good to thee , I will give thee the worth of it in money.

6 H1696 [H8762] And he said H1696 [H8762] to her, Because I spoke H5022 to Naboth H3158 the Jezreelite H559 [H8799] , and said H5414 [H8798] to him, Give H3754 me thy vineyard H3701 for money H2655 ; or else, if it pleaseth H5414 [H8799] thee, I will give H3754 thee another vineyard H559 [H8799] for it: and he answered H5414 [H8799] , I will not give H3754 thee my vineyard.

8 H3789 [H8799] So she wrote H5612 letters H256 in Ahab's H8034 name H2856 [H8799] , and sealed H2368 them with his seal H7971 [H8799] , and sent H5612 the letters H2205 to the elders H2715 and to the nobles H5892 that were in his city H3427 [H8802] , dwelling H5022 with Naboth.

9 H3789 [H8799] And she wrote H5612 in the letters H559 [H8800] , saying H7121 [H8798] , Proclaim H6685 a fast H3427 [H8685] , and set H5022 Naboth H7218 on high H5971 among the people:

10 H3427 [H8685] And set H8147 two H582 men H1100 , worthless H1121 men H5749 [H8686] , before him, to bear witness H559 [H8800] against him, saying H1288 [H8765] , Thou didst blaspheme H430 God H4428 and the king H3318 [H8689] . And then carry him out H5619 [H8798] , and stone H4191 [H8799] him, that he may die.

11 H582 And the men H5892 of his city H2205 , even the elders H2715 and the nobles H3427 [H8802] who were the inhabitants H5892 in his city H6213 [H8799] , did H348 as Jezebel H7971 [H8804] had sent H3789 [H8803] to them, and as it was written H5612 in the letters H7971 [H8804] which she had sent to them.

12 H7121 [H8804] They proclaimed H6685 a fast H3427 [H8689] , and set H5022 Naboth H7218 on high H5971 among the people.

13 H935 [H8799] And there came H8147 in two H582 men H1100 , worthless H1121 men H3427 [H8799] , and sat H1100 before him: and the worthless H582 men H5749 [H8686] witnessed H5022 against him, even against Naboth H5971 , in the presence of the people H559 [H8800] , saying H5022 , Naboth H1288 [H8765] blasphemed H430 God H4428 and the king H3318 [H8686] . 15 H348 And it came to pass, when Jezebel H8085 [H8800] heard H5022 that Naboth H5619 [H8795] was stoned H4191 [H8799] , and was dead H348 , that Jezebel H559 [H8799] said H256 to Ahab H6965 [H8798] , Arise H3423 [H8798] , take possession H3754 of the vineyard H5022 of Naboth H3158 the Jezreelite H3985 [H8765] , which he refused H5414 [H8800] to give H3701 thee for money H5022 : for Naboth H2416 is not alive H4191 [H8804] , but dead.

16 H256 And it came to pass, when Ahab H8085 [H8800] heard H5022 that Naboth H4191 [H8804] was dead H256 , that Ahab H6965 [H8799] arose H3381 [H8800] to go down H3754 to the vineyard H5022 of Naboth H3158 the Jezreelite H3423 [H8800] , to take possession of it.

17 H1697 And the word H3068 of the LORD H452 came to Elijah H8664 the Tishbite H559 [H8800] , saying,

18 H6965 [H8798] Arise H3381 [H8798] , go down H7125 [H8800] to meet H256 Ahab H4428 king H3478 of Israel H8111 , who is in Samaria H3754 : behold, he is in the vineyard H5022 of Naboth H3381 [H8804] , where he is gone down H3423 [H8800] to possess it.
