1 Kings 13:1-22 Behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of Yahweh to Beth El: and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.

1 H935 Behold, there came H376 a man H430 of God H3063 out of Judah H1697 by the word H3068 of Yahweh H1008 to Beth El: H3379 and Jeroboam H5975 was standing H4196 by the altar H6999 to burn incense.

2 H7121 He cried H4196 against the altar H1697 by the word H3068 of Yahweh, H559 and said, H4196 "Altar, H4196 altar, H559 thus says H3068 Yahweh: H1121 ‘Behold, a son H3205 shall be born H1004 to the house H1732 of David, H2977 Josiah H8034 by name. H2076 On you he shall sacrifice H3548 the priests H1116 of the high places H6999 who burn incense H8313 on you, and they will burn H120 men's H6106 bones on you.'"

3 H5414 He gave H4159 a sign H3117 the same day, H559 saying, H4159 "This is the sign H3068 which Yahweh H1696 has spoken: H4196 Behold, the altar H7167 will be split H1880 apart, and the ashes H8210 that are on it will be poured out."

4 H4428 It happened, when the king H8085 heard H1697 the saying H376 of the man H430 of God, H7121 which he cried H4196 against the altar H1008 in Bethel, H3379 that Jeroboam H7971 put out H3027 his hand H4196 from the altar, H559 saying, H8610 "Seize H3027 him!" His hand, H7971 which he put out H3001 against him, dried up, H3201 so that he could H7725 not draw it back again to himself.

5 H4196 The altar H7167 also was split H1880 apart, and the ashes H8210 poured out H4196 from the altar, H4159 according to the sign H376 which the man H430 of God H5414 had given H1697 by the word H3068 of Yahweh.

6 H4428 The king H6030 answered H559 the H376 man H430 of God, H2470 "Now entreat H6440 the favor H3068 of Yahweh H430 your God, H2470 and pray H3027 for me, that my hand H7725 may be restored me again." H376 The man H430 of God H2470 entreated H3068 Yahweh, H4428 and the king's H3027 hand H7725 was restored him again, H7223 and became as it was before.

7 H4428 The king H1696 said H376 to the man H430 of God, H935 "Come H1004 home H5582 with me, and refresh H5414 yourself, and I will give H4991 you a reward."

8 H376 The man H430 of God H559 said H4428 to the king, H5414 "Even if you gave H2677 me half H1004 of your house, H935 I would not go in H398 with you, neither would I eat H3899 bread H8354 nor drink H4325 water H4725 in this place;

9 H6680 for so was it commanded H1697 me by the word H3068 of Yahweh, H559 saying, H398 ‘You shall eat H3899 no bread, H8354 nor drink H4325 water, H7725 neither return H1870 by the way H1980 that you came.'"

10 H3212 So he went H312 another H1870 way, H7725 and didn't return H1870 by the way H935 that he came H1008 to Bethel.

11 H3427 Now there lived H259 an H2205 old H5030 prophet H1008 in Bethel; H1121 and one of his sons H935 came H5608 and told H4639 him all the works H376 that the man H430 of God H6213 had done H3117 that day H1008 in Bethel. H1696 They also told H4428 their father H1697 the words H5608 which he had spoken H1 to the king.

12 H1 Their father H1696 said H1870 to them, "Which way H1980 did he go?" H1121 Now his sons H7200 had seen H335 which H1870 way H376 the man H430 of God H1980 went, H935 who came H3063 from Judah.

13 H559 He said H1121 to his sons, H2280 "Saddle H2543 the donkey H2280 for me." So they saddled H2543 the donkey H7392 for him; and he rode on it.

14 H3212 He went H310 after H376 the man H430 of God, H4672 and found H3427 him sitting H424 under an oak. H559 He said H376 to him, "Are you the man H430 of God H935 who came H3063 from Judah?" H559 He said, "I am."

15 H559 Then he said H3212 to him, "Come H1004 home H398 with me, and eat H3899 bread."

16 H559 He said, H3201 "I may H7725 not return H935 with you, nor go in H398 with you; neither will I eat H3899 bread H8354 nor drink H4325 water H4725 with you in this place.

17 H1697 For it was said H1697 to me by the word H3068 of Yahweh, H398 ‘You shall eat H3899 no bread H8354 nor drink H4325 water H7725 there, nor turn again H3212 to go H1870 by the way H1980 that you came.'"

18 H559 He said H5030 to him, "I also am a prophet H4397 as you are; and an angel H1696 spoke H1697 to me by the word H3068 of Yahweh, H559 saying, H7725 ‘Bring him back H1004 with you into your house, H398 that he may eat H3899 bread H8354 and drink H4325 water.'" H3584 He lied to him.

19 H7725 So he went back H398 with him, and ate H3899 bread H1004 in his house, H8354 and drank H4325 water.

20 H3427 It happened, as they sat H7979 at the table, H1697 that the word H3068 of Yahweh H5030 came to the prophet H7725 who brought him back;

21 H7121 and he cried H376 to the man H430 of God H935 who came H3063 from Judah, H559 saying, H559 "Thus says H3068 Yahweh, H3282 ‘Because H4784 you have been disobedient H6310 to the mouth H3068 of Yahweh, H8104 and have not kept H4687 the commandment H3068 which Yahweh H430 your God H6680 commanded you,

22 H7725 but came back, H398 and have eaten H3899 bread H8354 and drunk H4325 water H4725 in the place H1696 of which he said H398 to you, "Eat H3899 no bread, H8354 and drink H4325 no water;" H5038 your body H935 shall not come H6913 to the tomb H1 of your fathers.'"
