Revelation 9:2-11 And he opened the bottomless pit ; and there arose a smoke out of the pit , as the smoke of a great furnace ; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

3 G2532 And G1831 there came [G5627] G1537 out of G2586 the smoke G200 locusts G1519 upon G1093 the earth G2532 : and G846 unto them G1325 was given [G5681] G1849 power G5613 , as G4651 the scorpions G1093 of the earth G2192 have [G5719] G1849 power.

4 G2532 And G4483 it was commanded [G5681] G846 them G3363 that G91 they should G3363 not G91 hurt [G5661] G5528 the grass G1093 of the earth G3761 , neither G3956 any G5515 green thing G3761 , neither G3956 any G1186 tree G1508 ; but G3441 only G444 those men G3748 which G2192 have [G5719] G3756 not G4973 the seal G2316 of God G1909 in G846 their G3359 foreheads.

7 G2532 And G3667 the shapes G200 of the locusts G3664 were like G2462 unto horses G2090 prepared [G5772] G1519 unto G4171 battle G2532 ; and G1909 on G846 their G2776 heads G5613 were as it were G4735 crowns G3664 like G5557 gold G2532 , and G846 their G4383 faces G5613 were as G4383 the faces G444 of men.

9 G2532 And G2192 they had [G5707] G2382 breastplates G5613 , as it were G2382 breastplates G4603 of iron G2532 ; and G5456 the sound G846 of their G4420 wings G5613 was as G5456 the sound G716 of chariots G4183 of many G2462 horses G5143 running [G5723] G1519 to G4171 battle.

10 G2532 And G2192 they had [G5719] G3769 tails G3664 like G4651 unto scorpions G2532 , and G2258 there were [G5713] G2759 stings G1722 in G846 their G3769 tails G2532 : and G846 their G1849 power G91 was to hurt [G5658] G444 men G4002 five G3376 months.

11 G2532 And G2192 they had [G5719] G935 a king G1909 over G848 them G32 , which is the angel G12 of the bottomless pit G846 , whose G3686 name G1447 in the Hebrew tongue G3 is Abaddon G2532 , but G1722 in G1673 the Greek tongue G2192 hath [G5719] G3686 his name G623 Apollyon.
