1 Kings 20:33-42 Now the men did diligently observe whether any thing would come from him, and did hastily catch it: and they said, Your brother Ben–hadad. Then he said, Go you, bring him. Then Ben–hadad came forth to him; and he caused him to come up into the chariot.

H7971 Then said Ahab, I will send you away H1285 with this covenant. H3772 So he made H1285 a covenant H7971 with him, and sent him away.

35 H259 And a certain H376 man H1121 of the sons H5030 of the prophets H559 said H7453 unto his neighbor H1697 in the word H3068 of the Lord, H5221 Strike H376 me, I pray you. And the man H3985 refused H5221 to strike him.

36 H559 Then said H8085 he unto him, Because you have not obeyed H6963 the voice H3068 of the Lord, H1980 behold, as soon as you are departed H738 from me, a lion H5221 shall kill H3212 you. And as soon as he was departed H681 from him, H738 a lion H4672 found H5221 him, and killed him.

37 H4672 Then he found H312 another H376 man, H559 and said, H5221 Strike H376 me, I pray you. And the man H5221 struck H5221 him, so that in striking H6481 he wounded him.

38 H5030 So the prophet H3212 departed, H5975 and waited H4428 for the king H1870 by the way, H2664 and disguised H666 himself with ashes H5869 upon his face.

39 H4428 And as the king H5674 passed by, H6817 he cried H4428 unto the king: H559 and he said, H5650 Your servant H3318 went out H7130 into the middle H4421 of the battle; H376 and, behold, a man H5493 turned aside, H935 and brought H376 a man H559 unto me, and said, H8104 Keep H376 this man: H6485 if by any means H6485 he be missing, H5315 then shall your life H5315 be for his life, H8254 or else you shall pay H3603 a talent H3701 of silver.

40 H5650 And as your servant H6213 was busy H369 here and there, he was gone. H4428 And the king H3478 of Israel H559 said H4941 unto him, So shall your judgment H2782 be; yourself have decided it.

41 H4116 And he hurried, H666 and took the ashes H5493 away H5869 from his face; H4428 and the king H3478 of Israel H5234 discerned H5030 him that he was of the prophets.

42 H559 And he said H559 unto him, Thus says H3068 the Lord, H7971 Because you have let go H3027 out of your hand H376 a man H2764 whom I appointed to utter destruction, H5315 therefore your life H5315 shall go for his life, H5971 and your people H5971 for his people.
