Joshua 8:2-7 And thou shalt do to Ai and her king as thou didst unto Jericho and her king: only the spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall ye take for a prey unto yourselves: set thee an ambush for the city behind it.

3 H3091 So Joshua H6965 arose, H5971 and all the people H4421 of war, H5927 to go up H5857 to Ai: H3091 and Joshua H977 chose out H7970 thirty H505 thousand H1368 men, the mighty H376 men H2428 of valor, H7971 and sent them forth H3915 by night.

4 H6680 And he commanded H559 them, saying, H7200 Behold, H693 ye shall lie in ambush H5892 against the city, H310 behind H5892 the city; H7368 go H3966 not very H7368 far H5892 from the city, H3559 but be ye all ready:

5 H5971 and I, and all the people H7126 that are with me, will approach H5892 unto the city. H3318 And it shall come to pass, when they come out H7125 against H7223 us, as at the first, H5127 that we will flee H6440 before them;

6 H3318 and they will come out H310 after H5423 us, till we have drawn H5892 them away from the city; H559 for they will say, H5127 They flee H6440 before H7223 us, as at the first: H5127 so we will flee H6440 before them;

7 H6965 and ye shall rise up H693 from the ambush, H3423 and take possession H5892 of the city: H3068 for Jehovah H430 your God H5414 will deliver H3027 it into your hand.
