Jeremiah 36:1-6 And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

1 H1961 And it came H7243 to pass in the fourth H8141 year H3079 of Jehoiakim H1121 the son H2977 of Josiah H4428 king H3063 of Judah, H2088 that this H1697 word H1961 came H3414 to Jeremiah H3068 from the LORD, H559 saying,

2 H3947 Take H4039 you a roll H5612 of a book, H3789 and write H413 therein H3605 all H1697 the words H1696 that I have spoken H5921 to you against H3478 Israel, H5921 and against H3063 Judah, H5921 and against H3605 all H1471 the nations, H3117 from the day H1696 I spoke H3117 to you, from the days H2977 of Josiah, H2088 even to this H3117 day.

3 H1004 It may be that the house H3063 of Judah H8085 will hear H3605 all H7451 the evil H834 which H2803 I purpose H6213 to do H7725 to them; that they may return H376 every man H7451 from his evil H1870 way; H5545 that I may forgive H5771 their iniquity H2403 and their sin.

4 H3414 Then Jeremiah H7121 called H1263 Baruch H1121 the son H5374 of Neriah: H1263 and Baruch H3789 wrote H6310 from the mouth H3414 of Jeremiah H3605 all H1697 the words H3068 of the LORD, H834 which H1696 he had spoken H4039 to him, on a roll H5612 of a book.

5 H3414 And Jeremiah H6680 commanded H1263 Baruch, H559 saying, H6113 I am shut H3808 up; I cannot H3201 H935 go H1004 into the house H3068 of the LORD:

6 H935 Therefore go H7121 you, and read H4039 in the roll, H834 which H3789 you have written H6310 from my mouth, H1697 the words H3068 of the LORD H241 in the ears H5971 of the people H3068 in the LORD’s H1004 house H6685 on the fasting H3117 day: H1571 and also H7121 you shall read H241 them in the ears H3605 of all H3063 Judah H935 that come H5892 out of their cities.
