Jeremiah 36:1-6

JuliaSmith(i) 1 And it will be in the fourth year of Jehoiakim, son of Josiah king of Judah, this word being to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying, 2 Take to thee a roll of writing, and write in it all the words which I spake to thee against Israel and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake to thee from the days of Josiah and even to this day. 3 Perhaps the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do to them; so that they will turn back each from his evil way; and I pardoned their iniquity and their sin. 4 And Jeremiah will call Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch will write from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of Jehovah which he spake to him upon the roll of the book. 5 And Jeremiah will command Baruch, saying, I being shut up shall not be able to go into the house of Jehovah: 6 And go thou and read in the roll which thou wrotest from my mouth, the words of Jehovah in the ears of the people in the house of Jehovah in the day of fasting: and also in the ears of all Judah coming from their cities thou shalt read them.
