Jeremiah 28:1-14

  1 H1961 And it came H1931 to pass the same H8141 year, H7225 in the beginning H4467 of the reign H6667 of Zedekiah H4428 king H3063 of Judah, H7243 in the fourth H8141 year, H2549 and in the fifth H2320 month, H2608 that Hananiah H1121 the son H5809 of Azur H5030 the prophet, H834 which H1391 was of Gibeon, H559 spoke H1004 to me in the house H3068 of the LORD, H5869 in the presence H3548 of the priests H3605 and of all H5971 the people, H559 saying,

  2 H3541 Thus H559 speaks H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts, H430 the God H3478 of Israel, H559 saying, H7665 I have broken H5923 the yoke H4428 of the king H894 of Babylon.

  3 H5750 Within H3117 two full H8141 years H7725 will I bring H7725 again H2008 into this H4725 place H3605 all H3627 the vessels H3068 of the LORD’s H1004 house, H5019 that Nebuchadnezzar H4428 king H894 of Babylon H3947 took H2008 away from this H4725 place, H935 and carried H894 them to Babylon:

  4 H7725 And I will bring H7725 again H2008 to this H4725 place H3204 Jeconiah H1121 the son H3079 of Jehoiakim H4428 king H3063 of Judah, H3605 with all H1546 the captives H3063 of Judah, H935 that went H894 into Babylon, H5002 said H3068 the LORD: H7665 for I will break H5923 the yoke H4428 of the king H894 of Babylon.

  5 H5030 Then the prophet H3414 Jeremiah H559 said H5030 to the prophet H2608 Hananiah H5869 in the presence H3548 of the priests, H5869 and in the presence H3605 of all H5971 the people H5975 that stood H1004 in the house H3068 of the LORD,

  6 H5030 Even the prophet H3414 Jeremiah H559 said, H543 Amen: H3068 the LORD H6213 do H3651 so: H3068 the LORD H6965 perform H1697 your words H834 which H5012 you have prophesied, H7725 to bring H7725 again H3627 the vessels H3068 of the LORD’s H1004 house, H3605 and all H1473 that is carried H1473 away captive, H894 from Babylon H413 into H2008 this H4725 place.

  7 H389 Nevertheless H8085 hear H4994 you now H2008 this H1697 word H1696 that I speak H241 in your ears, H241 and in the ears H3605 of all H5971 the people;

  8 H5030 The prophets H1961 that have been H6440 before H6440 me and before H5769 you of old H5012 prophesied H413 both against H7227 many H776 countries, H5921 and against H1419 great H4467 kingdoms, H4421 of war, H7451 and of evil, H1698 and of pestilence.

  9 H5030 The prophet H834 which H5012 prophesies H7965 of peace, H1697 when the word H5030 of the prophet H935 shall come H5030 to pass, then shall the prophet H3045 be known, H3068 that the LORD H571 has truly H7971 sent him.

  10 H2608 Then Hananiah H5030 the prophet H3947 took H4133 the yoke H5921 from off H5030 the prophet H3414 Jeremiah’s H6677 neck, H7665 and broke it.

  11 H2608 And Hananiah H559 spoke H5869 in the presence H3605 of all H5971 the people, H559 saying, H3602 Thus H559 said H3068 the LORD; H3602 Even H3602 so H7665 will I break H5923 the yoke H5019 of Nebuchadnezzar H4428 king H894 of Babylon H6677 from the neck H3605 of all H1471 nations H5750 within H5750 the space H3117 of two full H8141 years. H5030 And the prophet H3414 Jeremiah H3212 went H1870 his way.

  12 H1697 Then the word H3068 of the LORD H1961 came H3414 to Jeremiah H310 the prophet, after H2608 that Hananiah H5030 the prophet H7665 had broken H4133 the yoke H5921 from off H6677 the neck H5030 of the prophet H3414 Jeremiah, H559 saying,

  13 H1980 Go H559 and tell H2608 Hananiah, H559 saying, H3541 Thus H559 said H3068 the LORD; H7665 You have broken H4133 the yokes H6086 of wood; H6213 but you shall make H4133 for them yokes H1270 of iron.

  14 H3541 For thus H559 said H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts, H430 the God H3478 of Israel; H5414 I have put H5923 a yoke H1270 of iron H6677 on the neck H3605 of all H428 these H1471 nations, H5647 that they may serve H5019 Nebuchadnezzar H4428 king H894 of Babylon; H5647 and they shall serve H5414 him: and I have given H2416 him the beasts H7704 of the field H1571 also.
