1 Samuel 6:12-21 And the cows took the straight way to the way of Bethshemesh, and went along the highway, lowing as they went, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them to the border of Bethshemesh.

13 H1053 And they of Bethshemesh H7114 were reaping H2406 their wheat H7105 harvest H6010 in the valley: H5375 and they lifted H5869 up their eyes, H7200 and saw H727 the ark, H8055 and rejoiced H7200 to see it.

14 H5699 And the cart H935 came H413 into H7704 the field H3091 of Joshua, H1030 a Bethshemite, H5975 and stood H8033 there, H8033 where H1419 there was a great H68 stone: H1234 and they split H6086 the wood H5699 of the cart, H5927 and offered H6510 the cows H5930 a burnt H3068 offering to the LORD.

15 H3881 And the Levites H3381 took H3381 down H727 the ark H3068 of the LORD, H712 and the coffer H834 that was with it, wherein H3627 the jewels H2091 of gold H7760 were, and put H413 them on H1419 the great H68 stone: H582 and the men H1053 of Bethshemesh H5927 offered H5930 burnt H2076 offerings and sacrificed H2077 sacrifices H1931 the same H3117 day H3068 to the LORD.

16 H2568 And when the five H5633 lords H6430 of the Philistines H7200 had seen H7725 it, they returned H6138 to Ekron H1931 the same H3117 day.

17 H428 And these H2091 are the golden H2914 tumors H834 which H6430 the Philistines H7725 returned H817 for a trespass H3068 offering to the LORD; H795 for Ashdod H259 one, H5804 for Gaza H259 one, H831 for Askelon H259 one, H1661 for Gath H259 one, H6138 for Ekron H259 one;

18 H2091 And the golden H5909 mice, H4557 according to the number H3605 of all H5892 the cities H6430 of the Philistines H2568 belonging to the five H5633 lords, H4013 both of fenced H5892 cities, H6521 and of country H3724 villages, H1419 even to the great H59 stone of Abel, H834 where on H5921 H3240 they set H727 down the ark H3068 of the LORD: H2088 which stone remains to this H3117 day H7704 in the field H3091 of Joshua, H1030 the Bethshemite.

19 H376 And he smote the men H1053 of Bethshemesh, H3588 because H7200 they had looked H727 into the ark H3068 of the LORD, H5221 even he smote H5971 of the people H2572 fifty H505 thousand H7657 and three score H376 and ten men: H5971 and the people H56 lamented, H3588 because H3068 the LORD H5221 had smitten H5971 many of the people H1419 with a great H4347 slaughter.

20 H582 And the men H1053 of Bethshemesh H559 said, H4310 Who H3201 is able H5975 to stand H6440 before H2088 this H6918 holy H3068 LORD H430 God? H4310 and to whom H5927 shall he go up from us?

21 H7971 And they sent H4397 messengers H3427 to the inhabitants H7157 of Kirjathjearim, H559 saying, H6430 The Philistines H7725 have brought H7725 again H727 the ark H3068 of the LORD; H3381 come H3381 you down, H5927 and fetch it up to you.
