Jeremiah 29:24-32 Thus shalt thou also speak to Shemaiah the Nehelamite, saying,

25 H559 [H8804] Thus speaketh H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts, H430 the God H3478 of Israel, H559 [H8800] saying, H7971 [H8804] Because thou hast sent H5612 letters H8034 in thy name H5971 to all the people H3389 that are at Jerusalem, H6846 and to Zephaniah H1121 the son H4641 of Maaseiah H3548 the priest, H3548 and to all the priests, H559 [H8800] saying,

26 H3068 The LORD H5414 [H8804] hath made H3548 thee priest H3077 in the stead of Jehoiada H3548 the priest, H6496 that ye should be officers H1004 in the house H3068 of the LORD, H376 for every man H7696 [H8794] that is mad, H5012 [H8693] and maketh himself a prophet, H5414 [H8804] that thou shouldest put H4115 him in prison, H6729 and in the stocks.

27 H1605 [H8804] Now therefore why hast thou not chided H3414 Jeremiah H6069 of Anathoth, H5012 [H8693] who maketh himself a prophet to you?

28 H7971 [H8804] For therefore he sent H894 to us in Babylon, H559 [H8800] saying, H1931 This H752 captivity is long: H1129 [H8798] build H1004 ye houses, H3427 [H8798] and dwell H5193 [H8798] in them; and plant H1593 gardens, H398 [H8798] and eat H6529 the fruit of them.

29 H6846 And Zephaniah H3548 the priest H7121 [H8799] read H5612 this letter H241 in the ears H3414 of Jeremiah H5030 the prophet.

30 H1697 Then came the word H3068 of the LORD H3414 to Jeremiah, H559 [H8800] saying,

31 H7971 [H8798] Send H1473 to all them of the captivity, H559 [H8800] saying, H559 [H8804] Thus saith H3068 the LORD H8098 concerning Shemaiah H5161 the Nehelamite; H8098 Because Shemaiah H5012 [H8738] hath prophesied H7971 [H8804] to you, and I sent H982 [H8686] him not, and he caused you to trust H8267 in a lie:

32 H559 [H8804] Therefore thus saith H3068 the LORD; H6485 [H8802] Behold, I will punish H8098 Shemaiah H5161 the Nehelamite, H2233 and his seed: H376 he shall not have a man H3427 [H8802] to dwell H8432 among H5971 this people; H7200 [H8799] neither shall he behold H2896 the good H6213 [H8802] that I will do H5971 for my people, H5002 [H8803] saith H3068 the LORD; H1696 [H8765] because he hath taught H5627 rebellion H3068 against the LORD.
