Matthew 9:18-25

Riverside(i) 18 While Jesus was talking to them, a synagogue Director came and bowed down before him and said, "My daughter has just died; but come and lay your hand upon her and she will live." 19 Jesus rose and followed him, and so did his disciples. 20 Suddenly a woman who had been suffering for twelve years from hemorrhage came up behind him and touched the tassel of his cloak. 21 For she said to herself, "If I touch only his cloak, I shall be healed." 22 But Jesus turned and, seeing her, said, "Courage, daughter, your faith has healed you." The woman was cured from that hour. 23 Jesus entered the house of the Director and saw the flute-players and the crowd that was noisily lamenting, and he said, 24 "Leave the room, for the girl is not dead; she is sleeping." They laughed at him. 25 But after the crowd had been turned out, he went in and took hold of her hand and the girl rose up.
