Matthew⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹⁸ Whyles he thus spake vnto them, behold there came a certaine rueler, and worshipped him sayinge my doughter is euen now dyseased, but come and lay thy hand on her, and she shall lyue. ¹⁹ And Iesus arose and folowed him with his disciples. ²⁰ And beholde, a woman which was diseased with an issue of bloude .xij. yeres, came behinde him and touched the hem of his vesture. ²¹ For she said in her selfe: if I maye touche but euen his vesture only, I shalbe safe. ²² Then Iesus tourned him about, & behelde her saynge: Doughter be of good comforth, thy faith hath made the safe. And she was made whole euen that same houre. ²³ And when Iesus came into the rulers house, and sawe the ministrels and the people raginge, ²⁴ he sayd vnto them: Get you hence, for the mayde is not dead, but slepeth. And they laughed him to scorne. ²⁵ Assone as the people were put forth, he went in and toke her by the hande, and the mayde arose.
