ABU⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹⁸ While he was speaking these things to them, behold, there came a ruler, and bowed down to him, saying: My daughter just now died; but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she will live. ¹⁹ And Jesus arose and was following him, he and his disciples. ²⁰ And behold, a woman, having a flow of blood twelve years, came behind, and touched the fringe of his garment. ²¹ For she said within herself: If I only touch his garment, I shall be made whole. ²² And Jesus, turning and seeing her, said: Daughter, be of good cheer; thy faith has made thee whole. ²³ And the woman was made whole from that hour. And Jesus, coming into the house of the ruler, and seeing the minstrels and the crowd making a noise, ²⁴ said: Give place; for the maiden is not dead, but is sleeping. And they laughed him to scorn. ²⁵ But when the crowd was put forth, he went in, and took hold of her hand, and the maiden arose.
