36 Now while they are speaking these things, Jesus stood in the midst of them and says to them, Peace is to you.
37 But they became terrified and fearful and were thinking that they had viewed a spirit.
38 And he said to them, Why are you disturbed? And why do questions come up in your hearts?
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me and see, because a spirit does not have flesh and bones, like you view me having.
40 And having said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.
41 But still disbelieving this from joy and marveling; he said to them, Do you have anything edible here?
42 Now they gave part of a broiled fish to him and part of the honeycomb.
43 And he took and ate it in their sight.
44 Now he said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you, being still together with you, that it is essential for all things to be fulfilled, which have been written in the Law of Moses and the prophets and the Psalms, concerning me. 45 Then he opened their mind to understand the Scriptures.
46 And he said to them, Thus it has been written, that it was essential for the Christ to suffer and to rise up from the dead in the third day; 47 and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48 Now you are witnesses of these things. 49 And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you, but you stick-around in the city of Jerusalem, until you should be clothed with power from on high.
