36 And as they were telling these things, He Himself stood in their midst, and says to them, “Peace to you.”
37 But having been terrified, and having been filled with fear, they were thinking themselves to see a spirit.
38 And He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts come up in your hearts?
39 See My hands and My feet, that I am He. Touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see Me having.”
40 And having said this, He showed to them the hands and the feet.
41 And while they still were disbelieving for joy and were wondering, He said to them, “Have you anything here to eat?”
42 And they gave to Him part of a broiled fish.
43 And having taken it, He ate it before them.
44 And He said unto to them, “These are my words, which I spoke to you being still with you, that all things having been written concerning Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms, it behooves to be fulfilled.”
45 Then He opened their mind to understand the Scriptures.
46 And He said to them, “Thus it has been written: The Christ was to suffer and to rise out from the dead on the third day,
47 and repentance and forgiveness of sins to be proclaimed in His name to all nations, having begun from Jerusalem.
48 You are witnesses of these things.
49 And behold, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you. But you, remain in the city until that you should be clothed with power from on high.”
