Numbers 25:3-18

  3 H6775 ויצמד joined himself H3478 ישׂראל And Israel H1187 לבעל פעור unto Baal-peor: H2734 ויחר was kindled H639 אף and the anger H3068 יהוה of the LORD H3478 בישׂראל׃ against Israel.
  4 H559 ויאמר said H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אל unto H4872 משׁה Moses, H3947 קח Take H853 את   H3605 כל all H7218 ראשׁי the heads H5971 העם of the people, H3363 והוקע   H853 אותם   H3068 ליהוה before the LORD H5048 נגד against H8121 השׁמשׁ the sun, H7725 וישׁב may be turned away H2740 חרון that the fierce H639 אף anger H3068 יהוה of the LORD H3478 מישׂראל׃  
  5 H559 ויאמר said H4872 משׁה And Moses H413 אל unto H8199 שׁפטי the judges H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H2026 הרגו Slay H582 אישׁ his men H582 אנשׁיו   H6775 הנצמדים that were joined H1187 לבעל פעור׃ unto Baal-peor.
  6 H2009 והנה And, behold, H376 אישׁ one H1121 מבני of the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H935 בא came H7126 ויקרב and brought H413 אל unto H251 אחיו his brethren H853 את   H4084 המדינית a Midianitish woman H5869 לעיני in the sight H4872 משׁה of Moses, H5869 ולעיני and in the sight H3605 כל of all H5712 עדת the congregation H1121 בני of the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H1992 והמה who H1058 בכים weeping H6607 פתח the door H168 אהל of the tabernacle H4150 מועד׃ of the congregation.
  7 H7200 וירא saw H6372 פינחס And when Phinehas, H1121 בן the son H499 אלעזר of Eleazar, H1121 בן the son H175 אהרן of Aaron H3548 הכהן the priest, H6965 ויקם he rose up H8432 מתוך from among H5712 העדה the congregation, H3947 ויקח and took H7420 רמח a javelin H3027 בידו׃ in his hand;
  8 H935 ויבא And he went H310 אחר after H376 אישׁ the man H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H413 אל into H6898 הקבה the tent, H1856 וידקר and thrust H853 את   H8147 שׁניהם both H853 את   H376 אישׁ of them through, the man H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H853 ואת   H802 האשׁה and the woman H413 אל through H6897 קבתה her belly. H6113 ותעצר was stayed H4046 המגפה So the plague H5921 מעל from H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel.
  9 H1961 ויהיו were H4191 המתים And those that died H4046 במגפה in the plague H702 ארבעה and four H6242 ועשׂרים twenty H505 אלף׃ thousand.
  10 H1696 וידבר spoke H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אל unto H4872 משׁה Moses, H559 לאמר׃ saying,
  11 H6372 פינחס Phinehas, H1121 בן the son H499 אלעזר of Eleazar, H1121 בן the son H175 אהרן of Aaron H3548 הכהן the priest, H7725 השׁיב   H853 את   H2534 חמתי   H5921 מעל from H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H7068 בקנאו for my sake H853 את   H7068 קנאתי in my jealousy. H8432 בתוכם among H3808 ולא not H3615 כליתי them, that I consumed H853 את   H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H7068 בקנאתי׃  
  12 H3651 לכן Wherefore H559 אמר say, H2005 הנני   H5414 נתן I give H853 לו את   H1285 בריתי unto him my covenant H7965 שׁלום׃ of peace:
  13 H1961 והיתה And he shall have H2233 לו ולזרעו it, and his seed H310 אחריו after H1285 ברית him, the covenant H3550 כהנת priesthood; H5769 עולם of an everlasting H8478 תחת because H834 אשׁר because H7065 קנא he was zealous H430 לאלהיו for his God, H3722 ויכפר and made an atonement H5921 על for H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel.
  14 H8034 ושׁם Now the name H376 אישׁ   H3478 ישׂראל   H5221 המכה that was slain H834 אשׁר that H5221 הכה was slain H854 את with H4084 המדינית the Midianitish woman, H2174 זמרי Zimri, H1121 בן the son H5543 סלוא of Salu, H5387 נשׂיא a prince H1004 בית house H1 אב of a chief H8099 לשׁמעני׃ among the Simeonites.
  15 H8034 ושׁם And the name H802 האשׁה woman H5221 המכה that was slain H4084 המדינית of the Midianitish H3579 כזבי Cozbi, H1323 בת the daughter H6698 צור of Zur; H7218 ראשׁ head H523 אמות over a people, H1004 בית house H1 אב of a chief H4080 במדין in Midian. H1931 הוא׃ he
  16 H1696 וידבר spoke H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אל unto H4872 משׁה Moses, H559 לאמר׃ saying,
  17 H6887 צרור Vex H853 את   H4084 המדינים the Midianites, H5221 והכיתם and smite H853 אותם׃  
  18 H3588 כי For H6887 צררים vex H1992 הם they H5231 לכם בנכליהם you with their wiles, H834 אשׁר wherewith H5230 נכלו they have beguiled H5921 לכם על you in H1697 דבר the matter H6465 פעור of Peor, H5921 ועל and in H1697 דבר the matter H3579 כזבי of Cozbi, H1323 בת the daughter H5387 נשׂיא of a prince H4080 מדין of Midian, H269 אחתם their sister, H5221 המכה which was slain H3117 ביום in the day H4046 המגפה of the plague H5921 על   H1697 דבר   H6465 פעור   H1961 ׃ ויהי   H310 אחרי   H4046 המגפה
