1 Samuel 17:45-50 ויאמר Then said דוד David אל to הפלשׁתי the Philistine, אתה Thou בא comest אלי to בחרב me with a sword, ובחנית and with a spear, ובכידון and with a shield: ואנכי but I בא come אליך to בשׁם thee in the name יהוה of the LORD צבאות of hosts, אלהי the God מערכות of the armies ישׂראל of Israel, אשׁר whom חרפת׃ thou hast defied.

46 H3117 היום day H2088 הזה This H5462 יסגרך deliver H3068 יהוה will the LORD H3027 בידי thee into mine hand; H5221 והכיתך and I will smite H5493 והסרתי thee, and take H853 את H7218 ראשׁך thine head H5921 מעליך from H5414 ונתתי thee; and I will give H6297 פגר the carcasses H4264 מחנה of the host H6430 פלשׁתים of the Philistines H3117 היום day H2088 הזה this H5775 לעוף unto the fowls H8064 השׁמים of the air, H2416 ולחית and to the wild beasts H776 הארץ of the earth; H3045 וידעו may know H3605 כל that all H776 הארץ the earth H3588 כי that H3426 ישׁ there is H430 אלהים a God H3478 לישׂראל׃ in Israel.

47 H3045 וידעו shall know H3605 כל And all H6951 הקהל assembly H2088 הזה this H3588 כי that H3808 לא not H2719 בחרב with sword H2595 ובחנית and spear: H3467 יהושׁיע saveth H3068 יהוה the LORD H3588 כי for H3068 ליהוה the LORD's, H4421 המלחמה the battle H5414 ונתן and he will give H853 אתכם H3027 בידנו׃ you into our hands.

48 H1961 והיה And it came to pass, H3588 כי when H6965 קם arose, H6430 הפלשׁתי the Philistine H1980 וילך and came H7126 ויקרב and drew nigh H7122 לקראת H1732 דוד David, H4116 וימהר hasted, H1732 דוד that David H7323 וירץ and ran H4634 המערכה toward the army H7122 לקראת H6430 הפלשׁתי׃ the Philistine.

49 H7971 וישׁלח put H1732 דוד And David H853 את H3027 ידו his hand H413 אל in H3627 הכלי his bag, H3947 ויקח and took H8033 משׁם thence H68 אבן a stone, H7049 ויקלע and slung H5221 ויך and smote H853 את H6430 הפלשׁתי the Philistine H413 אל in H4696 מצחו his forehead, H2883 ותטבע sunk H68 האבן that the stone H4696 במצחו into his forehead; H5307 ויפל and he fell H5921 על upon H6440 פניו his face H776 ארצה׃ to the earth.

50 H2388 ויחזק prevailed H1732 דוד So David H4480 מן over H6430 הפלשׁתי the Philistine H7050 בקלע with a sling H68 ובאבן and with a stone, H5221 ויך and smote H853 את H6430 הפלשׁתי the Philistine, H4191 וימיתהו and slew H2719 וחרב sword H369 אין him; but no H3027 ביד in the hand H1732 דוד׃ of David.
