THE MAN WITH THE MEASURING LINE
And I lift my eyes, and see: and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand: 2 and I say, Where go you? And he says to me, To measure Yeru Shalem, to see what the breadth and what the length are. 3 And behold, the angel wording with me comes; and another angel comes to meet him, 4 and says to him, Run! Word to yonder lad, saying, Yeru Shalem settles the suburbs because of the abundance of humanity and animals midst her: 5 and I - an oracle of Yah Veh - I am to her a wall of fire all around, and I am for honor midst her. 6 Ho, ho, and flee from the land of the north - an oracle of Yah Veh for I spread you as the four winds of the heavens - an oracle of Yah Veh. 7 Rescue yourself, Ho, Siyon, who settles with the daughter of Babel. 8 For thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth: After the honor he sends me to the goyim who spoiled you: for he who touches you touches the pupil of his eye. 9 For, behold, I shake my hand on them, and they become a spoil to their servants: and you know that Yah Veh Sabaoth sent me. 10 Shout and cheer, O daughter of Siyon: for behold, I come and I tabernacle among you - an oracle of Yah Veh. 11 And many goyim join Yah Veh in that day, and become my people: and I dwell midst you; and you know that Yah Veh Sabaoth sent me to you: 12 And Yah Veh inherits Yah Hudah, his allotment on the holy soil, and again chooses Yeru Shalem. 13 Hush, O all flesh, at the face of Yah Veh: for he wakens from his holy habitation.
