The burden of the word of Yah Veh to Yisra El by the hand of Malachi. 2 I loved you - an oracle of Yah Veh. Yet you say, Wherein loved you us? Was not Esav the brother of Yaaqov? says Yah Veh; Yet I loved Yaaqov: 3 and I hated Esav; and set his mountains and his inheritance waste for the monsters of the wilderness. 4 Because Edom says, We are impoverished, and we return and build the parched areas. Thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth: They build, and I break down; and they call them, The border of wickedness: and, The people against whom Yah Veh enrages eternally. 5 And your eyes see, and you say, Yah Veh greatens from the border of Yisra El. 6
PRIESTS PROFANE THE SACRIFICE ALTAR
A son honors his father, and a servant his adoni: and if I am a father, where is my honor? and if I am an adoni, where is my awesomeness? Yah Veh Sabaoth says to you, O priests, who despise my name, you say, Wherein despise we your name? 7 You bring profane bread on my sacrifice altar; and you say, Wherein profane we you? saying, The table of Yah Veh is despised. 8 And if you bring the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? And if you bring the lame and sick, is it not evil? Oblate it, I beseech, to your governor; Is he pleased with you? Or lifts he your face? says Yah Veh Sabaoth. 9 And now, I beseech you, stroke the face of El so that he grant us charism: this being from your hand, Lifts he your faces? says Yah Veh Sabaoth. 10 Who, even among you, shuts the doors? Yes, you light my sacrifice altar gratuitously; I neither delight in you, says Yah Veh Sabaoth, nor an offering at your hand pleases me. 11 For from the rising of the sun even to the entry of the same my name is great among the goyim; and in every place incense is brought to my name, and a pure offering: for my name is great among the goyim, says Yah Veh Sabaoth. 12 And you profane it, saying, The table of Yah Veh is profane; and the fruit, his food, contemptible. 13 You also say, Behold, what trouble! and you puff at it, says Yah Veh Sabaoth; and you bring the stripped and the lame and the sick. Thus bring you an offering: of your hand that pleases? says Yah Veh. 14 And cursed is the deceiver who has a male in his drove; and vows and sacrifices a ruin to Adonay: for I am a great Sovereign, says Yah Veh Sabaoth; and my name is awesome among the goyim.
