Matthew 23:3-12

ECB(i) 3 so all - as much as ever they say to you to guard, guard and do; but after their works, do not: for they word, and do not: 4 for they bind heavy and oppressive burdens and place them on the shoulders of humanity; but they themselves will to not wag them with one of their fingers: 5 but they do all their works to be observed of humanity: they broaden their phylacteries and magnify the edges of their garments; 6 and befriend the preeminent resposings at suppers and the preeminent cathedras in the synagogues 7 and salutations in the markets; and to be called by humanity, Rabbi, Rabbi. 8

And you, neither call yourselves Rabbi: for one is your Rabbi - even the Messiah and all you are brothers: 9 nor call any man on the earth your father; for one is your Father - in the heavens: 10 nor be called tutors; for one is your tutor, even the Messiah. 11 But whoever is greatest among you becomes your minister: 12 and whoever exalts himself becomes humbled; and whoever humbles himself, exalts.
