Genesis 48:5-22

  5 H8147 And now thy two H1121 sons, H3205 who were born H776 unto thee in the land H4714 of Egypt H5704 before H935 I came H4714 unto thee into Egypt, H669 are mine; Ephraim H4519 and Manasseh, H7205 even as Reuben H8095 and Simeon, shall be mine.
  6 H4138 And thy issue, H3205 that thou begettest H310 after H7121 them, shall be thine; they shall be called H5921 after H8034 the name H251 of their brethren H5159 in their inheritance.
  7 H935 And as for me, when I came H6307 from Paddan, H7354 Rachel H4191 died H776 by me in the land H3667 of Canaan H1870 in the way, H5750 when H3530 there was still some H776 distance H935 to come H672 unto Ephrath: H6912 and I buried her H1870 there in the way H672 to Ephrath H1035 (the same is Beth-lehem).
  8 H3478 And Israel H7200 beheld H3130 Joseph's H1121 sons, H559 and said, Who are these?
  9 H3130 And Joseph H559 said H1 unto his father, H1121 They are my sons, H430 whom God H5414 hath given H559 me here. And he said, H3947 Bring them, H1288 I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them.
  10 H5869 Now the eyes H3478 of Israel H3513 were dim H2207 for age, H3201 so that he could H7200 not see. H5066 And he brought them near H5401 unto him; and he kissed H2263 them, and embraced them.
  11 H3478 And Israel H559 said H3130 unto Joseph, H6419 I had not thought H7200 to see H6440 thy face: H430 and, lo, God H7200 hath let me see H2233 thy seed also.
  12 H3130 And Joseph H3318 brought them out H5973 from between H1290 his knees; H7812 and he bowed H639 himself with his face H776 to the earth.
  13 H3130 And Joseph H3947 took H8147 them both, H669 Ephraim H3225 in his right hand H3478 toward Israel's H8040 left hand, H4519 and Manasseh H8040 in his left hand H3478 toward Israel's H3225 right hand, H5066 and brought them near unto him.
  14 H3478 And Israel H7971 stretched out H3225 his right hand, H7896 and laid H669 it upon Ephraim's H7218 head, H6810 who was the younger, H8040 and his left hand H4519 upon Manasseh's H7218 head, H7919 guiding H3027 his hands H7919 wittingly; H4519 for Manasseh H1060 was the first-born.
  15 H1288 And he blessed H3130 Joseph, H559 and said, H430 The God H6440 before H1 whom my fathers H85 Abraham H3327 and Isaac H1980 did walk, H430 the God H7462 who hath fed H5750 me all my life long H3117 unto this day,
  16 H4397 the angel H1350 who hath redeemed H7451 me from all evil, H1288 bless H5288 the lads; H8034 and let my name H8034 be named H8034 on them, and the name H1 of my fathers H85 Abraham H3327 and Isaac; H1711 and let them grow H7230 into a multitude H7130 in the midst H776 of the earth.
  17 H3130 And when Joseph H7200 saw H1 that his father H7896 laid H3225 his right H3027 hand H7218 upon the head H669 of Ephraim, H3415 it displeased H8551 him: and he held up H1 his father's H3027 hand, H5493 to remove H669 it from Ephraim's H7218 head H4519 unto Manasseh's H7218 head.
  18 H3130 And Joseph H559 said H1 unto his father, H1 Not so, my father; H1060 for this is the first-born; H7760 put H3225 thy right hand H7218 upon his head.
  19 H1 And his father H3985 refused, H559 and said, H3045 I know H1121 it, my son, H3045 I know H5971 it; he also shall become a people, H1431 and he also shall be great: H199 howbeit H6996 his younger H251 brother H1431 shall be greater H2233 than he, and his seed H4393 shall become a multitude H1471 of nations.
  20 H1288 And he blessed H3117 them that day, H559 saying, H3478 In thee will Israel H1288 bless, H559 saying, H430 God H7760 make H669 thee as Ephraim H4519 and as Manasseh: H7760 and he set H669 Ephraim H6440 before H4519 Manasseh.
  21 H3478 And Israel H559 said H3130 unto Joseph, H4191 Behold, I die: H430 but God H7725 will be with you, and bring you again H776 unto the land H1 of your fathers.
  22 H5414 Moreover I have given H259 to thee one H7926 portion H251 above thy brethren, H3947 which I took H3027 out of the hand H567 of the Amorite H2719 with my sword H7198 and with my bow.
