James 2:8-16

  2:8   1487 ει If 3305 μέντοι however 3551 νόμον [³law 5055 τελείτε ¹you fulfill 937 βασιλικόν ²the royal] 2596 κατά according to 3588 την the 1124 γραφήν scripture -- 25 αγαπήσεις You shall love 3588 τον   4139-1473 πλησίον σου your neighbor 5613 ως as 4572 σεαυτόν yourself; 2573 καλώς [²well 4160 ποιείτε ¹you do].   2:9   1487-1161 ει δε But if 4380 προσωποληπτείτε you discriminate because of appearance, 266 αμαρτίαν [²sin 2038 εργάζεσθε ¹you practice], 1651 ελεγχόμενοι being reproved 5259 υπό by 3588 του the 3551 νόμου law 5613 ως as 3848 παραβάται violators.   2:10   3748-1063 όστις γαρ For whoever 3650 όλον [²the entire 3588 τον   3551 νόμον ³law 5083 τηρήσει ¹shall give heed to], 4417-1161 πταίσει δε but shall be at fault 1722 εν in 1520 ενί one thing, 1096 γέγονε he has become 3956-1777 πάντων ένοχος liable of all.   2:11   3588-1063 ο γαρ For the one 2036 ειπών having said, 3361 μη You shall not 3431 μοιχεύσης commit adultery, 2036 είπε said 2532 και also, 3361 μη You shall not 5407 φονεύσης murder. 1487-1161 ει δε But if 3756 ου you shall not 3431 μοιχεύσεις commit adultery, 5407-1161 φονεύσεις δε but shall murder, 1096 γέγονας you have become 3848 παραβάτης a violator 3551 νόμου of the law.   2:12   3779 ούτω So 2980 λαλείτε speak 2532 και and 3779 ούτω so 4160 ποιείτε do 5613 ως as 1223 διά by 3551 νόμου the law 1657 ελευθερίας of freedom! 3195 μέλλοντες being about 2919 κρίνεσθαι to be judged.   2:13   3588 η   1063 γαρ For 2920 κρίσις judgment 448 ανίλεως is merciless 3588 τω to the one 3361 μη not 4160 ποιήσαντι having 1656 έλεος mercy, 2532 και and 2620 κατακαυχάται [²glories over 1656 έλεον ¹mercy] 2920 κρίσεως judgment.   2:14   5100 τι What is 3588 το the 3786 όφελος benefit, 80-1473 αδελφοί μου my brethren, 1437 εάν if 4102 πίστιν [⁴belief 3004 λέγη ²should say 5100 τις ¹anyone 2192 έχειν ³to have], 2041 έργα [⁵works 1161 δε ¹but 3361 μη ³not 2192 έχη ²should ⁴have]? 3361 μη Shall 1410 δύναται [³be able 3588 η ¹the 4102 πίστις ²belief] 4982 σώσαι to deliver 1473 αυτόν him?   2:15   1437-1161 εάν δε And if 80 αδελφός a brother 2228 η or 79 αδελφή sister 1131 γυμνοί [²naked 5224 υπάρχωσι ¹should be], 2532 και and 3007-1510.3 λειπόμενοι ώσι should be forsaken 3588 της of the 2184 εφημέρου daily 5160 τροφής nourishment,   2:16   2036-1161 είπη δε and [⁴should say 5100 τις ¹anyone 1473 αυτοίς ⁵to them 1537 εξ ²among 1473 υμών ³you], 5217 υπάγετε Go 1722 εν in 1515 ειρήνη peace, 2328 θερμαίνεσθε be warmed 2532 και and 5526 χορτάζεσθε filled! 3361 μη [²does not 1325 δώτε ³give 1161 δε ¹but] 1473 αυτοίς to them 3588 τα the things 2006 επιτήδεια needful 3588 του of the 4983 σώματος body, 5100 τι what is 3588 το the 3786 όφελος benefit?
