1 Kings 3:5-11

  6 H8010 Solomon H559 said, H6213 "You have shown H5650 to your servant H1732 David H1 my father H1419 great H2617 loving kindness, H1980 according as he walked H6440 before H571 you in truth, H6666 and in righteousness, H3483 and in uprightness H3824 of heart H8104 with you. You have kept H1419 for him this great H2617 loving kindness, H5414 that you have given H1121 him a son H3427 to sit H3678 on his throne, H3117 as it is this day.

  7 H3068 Now, Yahweh H430 my God, H5650 you have made your servant H4427 king H1732 instead of David H1 my father. H6996 I am but a little H5288 child. H3045 I don't know H3318 how to go out H935 or come in.

  8 H5650 Your servant H8432 is in the midst H5971 of your people H977 which you have chosen, H7227 a great H5971 people, H4487 that can't be numbered H5608 nor counted H7230 for multitude.

  9 H5414 Give H5650 your servant H8085 therefore an understanding H3820 heart H8199 to judge H5971 your people, H995 that I may discern H2896 between good H7451 and evil; H3201 for who is able H8199 to judge H3515 this your great H5971 people?"

  10 H1697 The speech H3190 pleased H136 the Lord, H8010 that Solomon H7592 had asked H1697 this thing.

  11 H430 God H559 said H559 to him, "Because you have asked H1697 this thing, H7592 and have not asked H7227 for yourself long H3117 life, H7592 neither have asked H6239 riches H7592 for yourself, nor have asked H5315 the life H341 of your enemies, H7592 but have asked H995 for yourself understanding H8085 to discern H4941 justice;
