26 Our children, our wives, substance, and all our cattle, shall remain here in the cities of Gilead.
27 but your servants, everyone who is armed for battle, will cross over ⌊before⌋ Yahweh to the war, just as my lord says."
28 So Moses gave orders about them to Eleazar the priest and to Joshua, the son of Nun, and to the heads of families of the tribes of the children of Israel.
29 and said unto them, "If the children of Gad and Reuben will go with you over Jordan, all prepared to fight before the LORD: then when the land is subdued unto you, give them the land of Gilead to possess.
