Luke 24:13-21

RKJNT(i) 13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was about seven miles from Jerusalem. 14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened. 15 And it came to pass, that, while they were conversing and discussing, Jesus himself drew near, and went along with them. 16 But their eyes were kept from recognizing him. 17 And he said to them, What is it that you are discussing with each other as you walk? And they stood still, looking downcast. 18 And one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answered him, Are you the only visitor in Jerusalem who does not know the things which have come to pass there in these days? 19 And he said to them, What things? And they said to him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people: 20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and have crucified him. 21 But we trusted that it was he who would redeem Israel: and beside all this, today is the third day since these things happened.
