Luke 24:13-21

ABU(i) 13 And, behold, two of them were going on that same day to a village called Emmaus, distant sixty furlongs from Jerusalem. 14 And they were conversing together concerning all these things that had taken place. 15 And it came to pass, that while they were conversing and reasoning, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. 16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him. 17 And he said to them: What communications are these, that ye have one with another, as ye walk, and are sad? 18 And one, whose name was Cleopas, answering said to him: Dost thou alone sojourn in Jerusalem and not know the things that have come to pass there in these days? 19 And he said to them: What things? And they said to him: The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people; 20 and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him. 21 But we were hoping that it was he who was to redeem Israel. But indeed, beside all this, to-day is the third day since these things were done.
