Jeremiah 16:3-9 For thus saith the LORD concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place , and concerning their mothers that bare them, and concerning their fathers that begat them in this land;

4 H4191 They shall die [H8799] H8463 of grievous H4463 deaths H5594 ; they shall not be lamented [H8735] H6912 ; neither shall they be buried [H8735] H1828 ; but they shall be as dung H6440 upon the face H127 of the earth H3615 : and they shall be consumed [H8799] H2719 by the sword H7458 , and by famine H5038 ; and their carcases H3978 shall be meat H5775 for the fowls H8064 of heaven H929 , and for the beasts H776 of the earth.

5 H559 For thus saith [H8804] H3068 the LORD H935 , Enter [H8799] H1004 not into the house H4798 of mourning H3212 , neither go [H8799] H5594 to lament [H8800] H5110 nor bemoan [H8799] H622 them: for I have taken away [H8804] H7965 my peace H5971 from this people H5002 , saith [H8803] H3068 the LORD H2617 , even lovingkindness H7356 and mercies.

6 H1419 Both the great H6996 and the small H4191 shall die [H8804] H776 in this land H6912 : they shall not be buried [H8735] H5594 , neither shall men lament [H8799] H1413 for them, nor cut [H8704] H7139 themselves, nor make themselves bald [H8735] for them:

7 H6536 Neither shall men tear [H8799] H60 themselves for them in mourning H5162 , to comfort [H8763] H4191 them for the dead [H8801] H3563 ; neither shall men give them the cup H8575 of consolation H8248 to drink [H8686] H1 for their father H517 or for their mother.

8 H935 Thou shalt not also go [H8799] H1004 into the house H4960 of feasting H3427 , to sit [H8800] H398 with them to eat [H8800] H8354 and to drink [H8800] .
