Nehemiah 9:28-30 וכנוח But after they had rest, להם ישׁובו again לעשׂות they did רע evil לפניך before ותעזבם thee: therefore leftest ביד thou them in the hand איביהם of their enemies, וירדו so that they had the dominion בהם וישׁובו over them: yet when they returned, ויזעקוך and cried ואתה unto thee, thou משׁמים from heaven; תשׁמע heardest ותצילם didst thou deliver כרחמיך them according to thy mercies; רבות and many עתים׃ times

29 H5749 ותעד And testifiedst H7725 בהם להשׁיבם against them, that thou mightest bring them again H413 אל unto H8451 תורתך thy law: H1992 והמה yet they H2102 הזידו dealt proudly, H3808 ולא not H8085 שׁמעו and hearkened H4687 למצותיך unto thy commandments, H4941 ובמשׁפטיך against thy judgments, H2398 חטאו but sinned H834 בם אשׁר (which H6213 יעשׂה do, H120 אדם if a man H2421 וחיה he shall live H5414 בהם ויתנו H3802 כתף the shoulder, H5637 סוררת H6203 וערפם their neck, H7185 הקשׁו and hardened H3808 ולא and would not H8085 שׁמעו׃ hear.

30 H4900 ותמשׁך didst thou forbear H5921 עליהם didst thou forbear H8141 שׁנים years H7227 רבות Yet many H5749 ותעד them, and testifiedst H7307 בם ברוחך against them by thy spirit H3027 ביד in H5030 נביאיך thy prophets: H3808 ולא yet would they not H238 האזינו give ear: H5414 ותתנם therefore gavest H3027 ביד thou them into the hand H5971 עמי of the people H776 הארצת׃ of the lands.
