Jeremiah 38:6-12 Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchijah the king's son, that was in the court of the guard: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire; and Jeremiah sank in the mire.

H953 And in the dungeon H4325 there was no water, H2916 but mire; H3414 and Jeremiah H2883 sank H2916 in the mire.

7 H5663 Now when Ebed-melech H3569 the Ethiopian, H376 a H5631 eunuch, H4428 who was in the king's H1004 house, H8085 heard H5414 that they had put H3414 Jeremiah H953 in the dungeon H4428 (the king H3427 then sitting H8179 in the gate H1144 of Benjamin,)

8 H5663 Ebed-melech H3318 went forth H4428 out of the king's H1004 house, H1696 and spake H4428 to the king, H559 saying,

9 H113 My lord H4428 the king, H582 these men H7489 have done evil H6213 in all that they have done H3414 to Jeremiah H5030 the prophet, H7993 whom they have cast H953 into the dungeon; H4191 and he is like to die H8478 in the place H6440 where he is, because H7458 of the famine; H3899 for there is no more bread H5892 in the city.

10 H4428 Then the king H6680 commanded H5663 Ebed-melech H3569 the Ethiopian, H559 saying, H3947 Take H7970 from hence thirty H582 men H3027 with thee, H5927 and take up H3414 Jeremiah H5030 the prophet H953 out of the dungeon, H4191 before he die.

11 H5663 So Ebed-melech H3947 took H582 the men H3027 with him, H935 and went H1004 into the house H4428 of the king H214 under the treasury, H3947 and took H5499 thence rags H1094 and worn-out H4418 garments, H7971 and let them down H2256 by cords H953 into the dungeon H3414 to Jeremiah.

12 H5663 And Ebed-melech H3569 the Ethiopian H559 said H3414 unto Jeremiah, H7760 Put H5499 now these rags H1094 and worn-out H4418 garments H679 under thine armholes H2256 under the cords. H3414 And Jeremiah H6213 did so.
