2 Chronicles 24:1-14 Joash was seven years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Zibiah of Beersheba.

2 H3101 And Joash H6213 did H3477 that which was right H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD H3605 all H3117 the days H3111 of Jehoiada H3548 the priest.

3 H3111 And Jehoiada H5375 took H8147 for him two H802 wives; H3205 and he begat H1121 sons H1323 and daughters.

4 H1961 And it came H310 to pass after H3651 this, H3101 that Joash H5973 was minded H3820 H2318 to repair H1004 the house H3068 of the LORD.

5 H6908 And he gathered H3548 together the priests H3881 and the Levites, H559 and said H3318 to them, Go H5892 out to the cities H3063 of Judah, H6908 and gather H3605 of all H3478 Israel H3701 money H2388 to repair H1004 the house H430 of your God H8141 from year H8141 to year, H4116 and see that you hasten H1697 the matter. H3881 However, the Levites H4116 hastened it not.

6 H4428 And the king H7121 called H3111 for Jehoiada H7218 the chief, H559 and said H4069 to him, Why H1875 have you not required H3881 of the Levites H935 to bring H3063 in out of Judah H3389 and out of Jerusalem H4864 the collection, H4872 according to the commandment of Moses H5650 the servant H3068 of the LORD, H6951 and of the congregation H3478 of Israel, H168 for the tabernacle H5715 of witness?

7 H1121 For the sons H6271 of Athaliah, H4849 that wicked H6555 woman, had broken H1004 up the house H430 of God; H1571 and also H3605 all H6944 the dedicated H1004 things of the house H3068 of the LORD H6213 did they bestow H1168 on Baalim.

8 H4428 And at the king’s H559 commandment H6213 they made H727 a chest, H5414 and set H2351 it without H8179 at the gate H1004 of the house H3068 of the LORD.

9 H5414 And they made H6963 a proclamation H3063 through Judah H3389 and Jerusalem, H935 to bring H3068 in to the LORD H4864 the collection H4872 that Moses H5650 the servant H430 of God H3478 laid on Israel H4057 in the wilderness.

10 H3605 And all H8269 the princes H3605 and all H5971 the people H8055 rejoiced, H935 and brought H7993 in, and cast H727 into the chest, H5704 until H3615 they had made an end.

11 H1961 Now it came H6256 to pass, that at what time H727 the chest H935 was brought H4428 to the king’s H6486 office H3027 by the hand H3881 of the Levites, H7200 and when they saw H7227 that there was much H3701 money, H4428 the king’s H5608 scribe H7218 and the high H3548 priest’s H6496 officer H935 came H6168 and emptied H727 the chest, H5375 and took H7725 it, and carried H4725 it to his place H7725 again. H3541 Thus H6213 they did H3117 day H3117 by day, H622 and gathered H3701 money H7230 in abundance.

12 H4428 And the king H3111 and Jehoiada H5414 gave H6213 it to such as did H4399 the work H5656 of the service H1004 of the house H3068 of the LORD, H7936 and hired H2672 masons H2796 and carpenters H2318 to repair H1004 the house H3068 of the LORD, H1571 and also H2790 such as worked H1270 iron H5178 and brass H2388 to mend H1004 the house H3068 of the LORD.

13 H6213 So the workmen H4399 H6213 worked, H4399 and the work H5927 was perfected H724 H5975 by them, and they set H1004 the house H430 of God H4971 in his state, H553 and strengthened it.

14 H3615 And when they had finished H935 it, they brought H7605 the rest H3701 of the money H6440 before H4428 the king H3111 and Jehoiada, H6213 whereof were made H3627 vessels H1004 for the house H3068 of the LORD, H3627 even vessels H8335 to minister, H5927 and to offer H3709 with, and spoons, H3627 and vessels H2091 of gold H3701 and silver. H5927 And they offered H5930 burnt H1004 offerings in the house H3068 of the LORD H8548 continually H3605 all H3117 the days H3111 of Jehoiada.
