1 Kings 20:35-42

  35 H259 A certain H376 man H1121 of the sons H5030 of the prophets H559 said H7453 to his fellow H1697 by the word H3068 of Yahweh, H5221 "Please strike H376 me!" The man H3985 refused H5221 to strike him.

  36 H559 Then he said H8085 to him, "Because you have not obeyed H6963 the voice H3068 of Yahweh, H1980 behold, as soon as you are departed H738 from me, a lion H5221 shall kill H3212 you." As soon as he was departed H681 from him, H738 a lion H4672 found H5221 him, and killed him.

  37 H4672 Then he found H312 another H376 man, H559 and said, H5221 "Please strike H376 me." The man H5221 struck H5221 him, smiting H6481 and wounding him.

  38 H5030 So the prophet H3212 departed, H5975 and waited H4428 for the king H1870 by the way, H2664 and disguised H666 himself with his headband H5869 over his eyes.

  39 H4428 As the king H5674 passed by, H6817 he cried H4428 to the king; H559 and he said, H5650 "Your servant H3318 went out H7130 into the midst H4421 of the battle; H376 and behold, a man H5493 turned aside, H935 and brought H376 a man H559 to me, and said, H8104 ‘Guard H376 this man! H6485 If by any means H6485 he be missing, H5315 then your life H5315 shall be for his life, H8254 or else you shall pay H3603 a talent H3701 of silver.'

  40 H5650 As your servant H6213 was busy H369 here and there, he was gone." H4428 The king H3478 of Israel H559 said H4941 to him, "So your judgment H2782 shall be; you yourself have decided it."

  41 H4116 He hurried, H666 and took the headband H5493 away H5869 from his eyes; H4428 and the king H3478 of Israel H5234 recognized H5030 that he was of the prophets.

  42 H559 He said H559 to him, "Thus says H3068 Yahweh, H7971 ‘Because you have let go H3027 out of your hand H376 the man H2764 whom I had devoted to destruction, H5315 therefore your life H5315 shall go for his life, H5971 and your people H5971 for his people.'"
